AUTOMATIC COOKING
QUICK START (EXPRESS) COOKING
USING THE GRILL
Your oven can calculate the cooking time of various foods. Just
select the relevant program from the table below and enter the
weight. Autocooking takes placeat full power.
Press AUTO COOK the required
no.of times to select
Dial the weight
of the food
Press START
The results of auto-cooking depend on many factors, the actual
type of food, the temperature it goes into the oven at, etc.If after
the program has ended the food is underdone, use Basic or
Express Cooking for a short time to complete the cooking.
By pressing the START/QUICK START button repeatedly you can
program the ovenfor Express cooking.at FULL power(100%)
Each press of the START/QUICKSTART button increases the
cooking time in intervals.You can program up to 10
minutes.
The oven will start almost as soon you press the
START/QUICKSTART button so be prepared!!
During the Quick Start cooking cycle, you cannot top up the
remaining time.
Express cooking is a very good way of rapidly heating small
portions of food, or easily adding a small amount of cooking
time to finishdishes that are slightly undercooked.
All programs can be set up with the oven door open or closed
except Quick Start where the doormust be closed.
If you are setting up a program when the door is open,pressing the
STOP/CANCEL button willerase theprogram.
The grill is particularly useful for cooking thin slices of meat,steaks,
chops, kebabs, sausages or pieces of chicken. It is also suitable for
hot sandwiches and au gratin dishes. The maximum time you can
set is 95minutes.
Press GRILL/COMBI
Turn the Control knob to 10:00.
Press START.

Do not overload the grill rack.Space thefood out
Brushing the grill rack very sparingly with vegetable oil will stop
food adhering to it and make washing up easier.
Always stand the grill rack in a heatproof ceramic dish.This will
catch drips andhelp keep the oven clean.
The
turntable helps thefood to cook all over.
Combination microwave and grill cooking enables a wide range of
foods to be both cooked and browned in one operation.This offers
you the speed of a microwave oven with the finish and taste of a
conventional grill.To realise the potential of this form of cooking,
we advise youto purchase a recipe book dedicated to this art.
There are two Combi-grill programs.They both work in exactly the
same way but have different settings.Both microwave the food first
and then grillit to give a browned,tasty finish.
Microwaves the food for 30% of the total time and grills
it for 70%.Usethis program for fish,potatoes, andā€˜au gratin’ dishes.
55% for microwave cooking, 45% for grill cooking. Use
for puddings omelettes,baked potatoes and poultry.
The longest cookingtime for either program is 95 minutes

When you use the grill the cooking utensils and the
interior of the oven get very hot, much hotter than when
you are using the oven as a regular microwave.
Always stir food with long handled implements ,tongs etc.
Always use oven gloves when removing or placing utensils
in an oven where the grill has recently been on.When you
set utensils down on a surface make sure it is heatproof or
use an insulating mat
After use allow an extra long period for the oven to cool
down before cleaning or re-use.
Add enough boiling water tothe food before cooking.

Preliminaries
Place your microwave oven on a flat,
level stable work surface away from
sources of cold,heat and damp.

good ventilation, the rear of the
oven should have a clearance of at least
10 cm from the wall, the free distance
above the top should be at least 20 cm
and there should be a gap of at least 5
cm at bothsides.
Set the timertoā€˜0’.
Plug the oven into the wall socket.
Pull the doorhandle to openthe door.
There is a spindle inside the base of the oven. Place the
Turntable Support Ring in the recess in the oven and drop it
gently onto this spindle through the locating hole in the base.
There is a flat machined on the internal spindle to hold the ring
secure while the oven is operating.. Rotate the ring slightly
back and forth until it drops securely into place over the
spindle.
Place the turntable on the support ring with the smooth side
uppermost and check that it is central to and properly
supported by the ring.
Close the door.
Unwrap and uncoil the power cord fully.
Plug the mainsplug into asuitable wall socket.
Switch the mainspower on.
Your oven is now ready to be programmed.

adaptor or any otherpower sharing device.

sure you read all the instructions and the safety notes carefully and
that you familiarise yourself with the features and operation of your
oven before use.
IMPORTANT NOTE.This microwave is for normal household use
only. It isunsuitable for commercial use.
In the box you should find the microwave oven, glass turntable and
rotating support ring. Unpack all the items completely. If possible
retain the packaging for future use.
Check the oven carefully, especially the door, door seals and the
locking mechanism.If any items are missing or damaged,contact your
nearestTesco store for assistance.
