INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
FLAME IGNITION
Release the safety lock by pushing it downwards and push the flame temperature adjuster
to the right. Turn the integrated control to the end left position – gas will begin to release from the
torch nozzle. Grip the torch so that the nozzle aims away from objects and ignite fl ame by pressing down
the integrated control (E).
NOTICE
Do not use or disassemble the torch if it shows signs of leakage or malfunctioning.
If gas escapes from a torch with a closed integrated control, immediately take it outdoors.
ADJUSTING THE FLAME TEMPERATURE
For a hotter and narrower fl ame, move the temperature adjuster to the “AIR” position; the opposite
position is for a colder and wider fl ame. Set the fl ame temperature adjuster to the “AIR” position
(F) in normal use.
SETTING FLAME LENGTH
Set the fl ame length by turning the integrated control to the left or to the right – the optimum
fl ame length is 10 to 25 mm (G). A longer fl ame will not have a higher temperature, instead it results
in a higher gas consumption (normal gas consumption of the torch in use is 0.3 g/min).
FLAMBÉING
Slowly bring the fl ame of the chef’s torch to the meal, move the torch from side to side without
exposing a single place to fl ame for prolonged periods. Control the fl ambéing intensity by bringing the tip
of the fl ame close to or away from the meal.
PUTTING OUT THE FLAME
Turn the integrated control to the end right position, which will shut off the gas supply; activate the
safety lock by pushing it upwards.
MAINTENANCE
CLEANING
When needed, wipe the chef’s torch with a moistened cloth and dry carefully. Avoid using
fl ammable substances, sharp objects or sand-based agents to clean. Do not wash the chef’s torch
in a dishwasher!
STORAGE
Always store the chef’s torch with the safety lock on, away from direct heat, sunshine and
steam.
NOTICE
Never repair a malfunctioning or irregular torch yourself; instead bring it for professional servicing.
WARNING
A fi lled Chef’s torch contains pressurised fl ammable gas – use and handle with an extra care.
A high temperature exists above the visible part of the fl ame. Be extra careful to avoid burning
and fi re. The accessible parts of the torch may be very hot – risk of burning and injury. Do not
ignite the torch aiming it at your face, clothing, other people or fl ammable materials. Do not
use the torch continuously for more than 10 minutes. Shut off the gas supply and activate
the safety lock after each use. Always leave the torch to cool down before storage. Do not
expose the torch to open fi re, direct sunshine and temperatures exceeding 50 °C. Do not
dispose of by piercing or burning. Keep out of the reach of children. When fi lling the torch,
observe the safety instructions provided on the fi lling container with the fl uid.
3YEAR WARRANTY
A 3-year warranty period applies to this product from the date of purchase.
The warranty never covers defects:
- due to improper use incompatible with the Instructions for use
- resulting from an impact, fall or mishandling
- due to unauthorised repairs of, or alterations to, the product.
