If the edge of the motor head is damaged, consider replacing it (consult place of purchase). Finally, ensure the hose adaptor unit is properly assembled.

Hoses may be incorrectly connected, so ensure they are not entangled or crimped. Excessive dirt buildup in the hoses, a clogged water intake strainer, or clogged filter media can also restrict flow. If filter media is in nets or materials not supplied by the manufacturer, remove them. Improperly combined filter media should be checked against the manual. Dirty filter floss should be replaced, and dirt buildup in the impeller chamber cleaned. Ensure the return pipe is above the water surface during startup to remove air, and avoid using non-manufacturer accessories.
