Installation and Operating
Instructions
ŸFollow all local electrical and safety codes, as well as the National Electrical Code
(NEC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Act ( OSHA).
ŸLock and tag the power disconnect to prevent unexpected application of power.
ŸSelect the proper size wire, according to the NEC and installation for passing
through wire through the 2ACE module.
ŸControl voltage and frequency must not exceed the 2ACE electrical rating.
ŸSupply Voltage, 24 VDC or 24VAC. Operating frequency rating is 50/60Hz, only.
ŸFor safety, a lockable disconnect switch should be located near the device being controlled so that the power can be positively disconnected while
servicing the units. Do not rely on a time switchÕs manual lever to disconnect power while servicing the equipment. Do not exceed the 2.5 Amp,
250VAC rating for the control circuit connected to terminals M1 and M2. ( See Specifications)
ŸRemove all voltages before making any connections. The 2ACE may be installed on the line or load side of the compressor or motor contactor.

Installation Procedure

Pre-Installation Checks

Measure line & control voltages for correctness and ensure proper connections to terminals.

Thermistor and Current Transducer Connections

Connect motor winding thermistors to C, S1, S2, S3 and current transducer output to B, G.

Control Voltage and Phase Wiring

Connect control voltage to T1/T2 and pass phase A, B, C through 2ACE orifice.

Must Hold (MH) Amperes Adjustment

Adjust DIP switches to match MH ratings for leads passing through the module.

Operation and Troubleshooting

Normal Operation Display

7-segment display shows HAxxx for Must Hold setting when motor is off.

Motor Running Indication

Display shows a rotating '0' when motor is on and operating within normal limits.

Fault Conditions and Reset

Phase reversal de-energizes output; trips open M1/M2; requires power maintenance for reset.

Fault Code Explanations

Provides descriptions for fault codes 1-8, including current overload, unbalance, over-temp, and phase loss.
