(18) Connect the purge tank line to the left mid wing TKS panel as near to t he panel as you can.
(19) Apply pressure of 10 psi, do a check for leaks in the line, and repair all leak s .
(20) Apply pres su re of 20 psi to slowly st art t he fluid fl ow through the left mid wing panel.
(21) Wait until the fluid starts to come out all the holes at the same rate along the full length of the
left mid wing panel and increase the pressure to 60 psi.
(22) Continue the fluid purge until the panel is correctly purged in ac co rdanc e with Fi gure 3 and
Table 2.
NOTE: To get an even flow over the panel it may be necess ary to lightly run a dry cloth or
paper to wel over the leading edge a nd/ or t he dry spots of the panel during purging.
(23) Stop the fluid s upply.
(24) Wait u ntil the fluid pressure is released .
(25) Slowly disconnect t he test cart fluid supply tube f rom the left mid wi ng panel.
(26) Install a new S2800-942 Sealing Rin g and connec t the left mid wing panel s upply line to por t
2 on the wing proport ioni ng unit.
(27) Disconnect the left outboard wing TKS panel supply lines from po rts 3 and 4 on the wing
proportioning unit.
(28) Connect the purge tank line to t he outboard wing TKS panel as near to the panel as you can.
(29) Apply pressure of 10 psi, do a check for leaks in the line, and repair all leak s .
(30) Apply pres s ure of 20 psi to s lowly start the flui d flow through the panel.
(31) Wait until the fluid starts to come out all the holes at the same rate along the full length of the
panel a nd increase the pressure to 65 p si.
(32) Continue the fluid purge until the panel is correctly purged in ac co rdanc e with Fi gure 3 and
Table 2.
NOTE: To get an even flow over the panel it may be necess ary to lightly run a dry cloth or
paper to wel over the leading edge a nd/ or t he dry spots of the panel during purging.
(33) Stop the fluid s upply.
(34) Wait u ntil the fluid pressure is released .
(35) Slowly disconnec t the t es t cart fluid supply tube from t he left outboard wi ng TKS panel.
(36) Install a new S2800-942 S eali ng Rin g and c onnec t the left outboard wing TKS pan el supply
lines to ports 3 and 4 on the wing proport ioni ng unit.
(37) Disconnect the t w o wing s trut TKS panel supply lines from ports 6 and 7 on the left wing
proportioning unit.
(38) Connect the purge tank line to the section of the wing strut T KS panel that supplies fl uid by
the line that was attached to port 6.
NOTE: The st rut panel has tw o membranes (upper a nd lo wer). Each m embrane has a fl uid
supply t ube. You can install a tee fitting and c onnec t the test cart supply tube to
each membrane.
(39) Apply pressure of 10 psi, do a check for leaks in the line, and repair all leak s .
(40) Apply pres s ure of 20 psi to s lowly start the flui d flow through the panel.
(41) Wait until the fluid starts to come out all the holes at the same rate along the full length of the
panel a nd increase the pressure to 70 p si.
