How to troubleshoot a Thermo Pride AH2436E1 motor that won't start?
    • R
      Robert BurtonAug 10, 2025
If the Thermo Pride Air Conditioner motor won’t start and shows no movement, begin by checking the power supply directly at the motor. Next, verify that the low voltage (24 VAC R to C) is present at the motor. Then, inspect the low voltage connections (G, PWM, W, R, C) at the motor and check for any unseated pins in the connectors on the motor harness. You can also test the motor by using a temporary jumper between R and G. Also, check the motor for a tight shaft and perform a motor/control replacement check. Finally, run a Moisture Check.

What to do if Thermo Pride AH2436E1 Air Conditioner motor starts but runs erratically?
    • B
      Brooke DavisAug 15, 2025
If the Thermo Pride Air Conditioner motor starts but runs erratically, varying up and down or intermittently, check the line voltage for any variations or sags. Also, inspect the low voltage connections (G, PWM, W, R, C) at the motor, looking for unseated pins in the motor harness connectors. For variable speed applications, check the 'Bk' for an erratic CFM command. Check the system controls, including the thermostat. Finally, perform a Moisture Check.

Why does my Thermo Pride Air Conditioner stay at low CFM?
    • P
      phillipsrebeccaAug 19, 2025
If your Thermo Pride Air Conditioner stays at a low CFM despite a system call for cool or heat CFM, check the low voltage (thermostat) wires and connections. Ensure the fan is not in delay mode by waiting until the delay is complete. Verify that 'R' is present and connected at the motor. If issues persist, perform a motor/control replacement check.

      Rebecca SmithAug 25, 2025
If the Thermo Pride Air Conditioner motor rocks but won’t start, check for a loose or compliant motor mount. Ensure the blower wheel is tight on the shaft. If the issue persists, perform a motor/control replacement check.

Why won't my Thermo Pride Air Conditioner blower shut off?
    • J
      jimenezkristenAug 29, 2025
If the Thermo Pride Air Conditioner blower won’t shut off, check for current leakage from controls into G, Y, or W. Specifically, look for a Triac switched thermostat or a solid state relay.
