Solar Powered Chemical Injecon Pump
Installaon, Operaon, and Maintenance Instrucons
The model 4000 Chemical Injecon Pump is designed to inject low to medium volumes of chemical into high pressure lines. Depending on
the motor and plunger conguraon, these pumps are capable of pumping against up to 6000 PSI or up to 130 gallons/day. Due to the
varying nature of applicaons, proper sizing is essenal for each solar powered applicaon to ensure pump performance. Timberline
Manufacturing and it’s associated representaves are available to assist with any quesons or pump sizing. Variables you will need to know
to ensure proper sizing are:
Required Flow Rate
Discharge Pressure
Locaon of Pump
Mission Crical Level of Applicaon
These systems are typically sold including a pump unit, solar panels, solar panel mounng hardware and pipe, solar power voltage
regulator, pump controller, and baery/controller enclosure. Baeries are generally supplied by the end user aer a sizing
recommendaon by Timberline Manufacturing or their associated representaves, but are available upon request.

What to do if my Timberline 4000 is not running?
    • L
      Larry TurnerAug 11, 2025
If your Timberline Water Pump isn't running, several factors could be at play. First, check if the fuse is blown and replace it, making sure to diagnose the cause of the failure. Ensure all valves between the injection point and pump are open and free of any obstructions. Verify that the injection pressure is within the pump's limits; using smaller plunger sizes might help with higher pressure. Also, make sure the plunger roll pin is correctly inserted, replacing it if necessary. Finally, bleed the pump to remove any air or vapor until the flow from the bleed screw is smooth and bubble-free.

Why is my Timberline 4000 Water Pump running, but with little or no fluid output?
    • A
      Anthony MaldonadoAug 22, 2025
If your Timberline Water Pump runs but has little to no fluid output, consider these possibilities: * Ensure the pump is mounted low enough, so the suction check is at least 6 inches below the chemical level. * Check and clean any blockages in the discharge or suction lines. * Inspect the suction check for failures. Clean the suction O-rings, and replace any faulty suction check parts or the entire suction check if needed. * Examine the discharge check for failures, replacing parts or the entire discharge check as necessary.

How to fix low battery voltage on Timberline 4000?
    • K
      Kelli RoweSep 1, 2025
Low battery voltage in your Timberline Water Pump system can stem from several causes. Try these solutions: 1. Ensure the solar panel is correctly positioned to receive optimal sunlight. 2. Relocate the panel if it's not getting enough sunlight, and clear any obstructions like tree limbs. 3. Clean the panel if it's dirty. 4. If the battery is failing, replace it. 5. If the solar array is improperly sized, add more panels or batteries as needed.
