The Times Square Lighting V200 Projector is an LED wash light designed for on-site decoration, featuring a 200W COB LED available in Red, Green, Blue, and White. It boasts a long lifespan of 50,000 hours and low power consumption. The fixture incorporates an optimized high-definition optical system for improved photometric performance and field uniformity, along with a projector-quality, high-contrast aspheric lens. A glass reflector is used to remove over 90% of infrared radiation (heat) while reflecting more than 95% of visible light. The lens tube is interchangeable, with field angles available for 19°, 26°, 36°, and 50°. Its housing is made from high-intensity fireproof black ABS and includes four metal spot cutting slots.
Technically, the V200 Projector offers 0-100% smooth and precise linear dimming, a 25T/sec high-speed shutter/strobe effect with variable speed, and supports 4/8 DMX channels (USITT DMX-512). It can operate in DMX512, master-slave, sound control, or auto operation modes. The device features a 4-button LCD display for easy navigation and settings adjustment. Connectivity includes POWERCON connectors for IN/OUT and 3-Pin XLR connectors for IN/OUT (with a 5-Pin option available). For thermal management, it integrates a low-noise fan with a copper liquid cooling system, allowing it to operate in ambient temperatures from -30°C to 40°C. It has an IP20 protection rating and a maximum power consumption of 200W. The dimensions are 640(D)x186(W)x394(H)mm, with a net weight of 7.5kg and a gross weight of 9.5kg.
For usage, the V200 Projector is designed to be installed and operated according to the provided instructions to ensure safe and reliable performance. It is crucial to allow the device to reach room temperature if it has been exposed to temperature changes to prevent damage from condensation. As a protection-class I device, it must be properly earthed by a qualified person using the specified voltage and frequency. The power cord should be protected from damage and only handled by the plug. During initial start-up, some smoke or smell may occur, which is normal and should gradually dissipate. The beam should not be projected onto combustible substances, and fixtures must be installed at least 50cm from walls to ensure adequate airflow and heat radiation, with no obstructions to fans or ventilation. Any damage to the external flexible cable or cord must be exclusively replaced by the manufacturer, service agent, or a similarly qualified person to avoid hazards.
The device should be kept away from strong shaking during transportation or movement, and should not be lifted by the head alone to avoid mechanical damage. It should not be exposed to overheating, moisture, or excessive dust during installation. Power cables should not be laid on the floor to prevent electronic shock. The installation area must be safe, and a safety chain should be used, with screws properly tightened. The lens should be in good condition, and damaged units should be replaced. Operation should only be performed by qualified personnel. Original packaging should be retained for future shipments. Unauthorized modifications or operations not in accordance with the manual will void the warranty.
Installation requires mounting the fixture in areas away from walking paths or seating, where it cannot be reached by unauthorized personnel. The installation surface must support a minimum point load of 10 times the device's weight. A secondary safety attachment, such as an appropriate safety cable, is always required. Never stand directly below the device during mounting, removal, or servicing. The fixture can be hung from a ceiling using a "C" clamp or half cheeseboro, ensuring the safety chain or cable is threaded through the eye-bolt on the back of the fixture to a secondary holding point. The Gel frame (Gel holder) must be correctly clipped into position. The safety cable should not be clamped to the U bracket or clamp, as this is not a secondary safety point. The fixture should be kept at least 0.5m (1.5 ft) away from flammable materials.
Maintenance is crucial for the longevity of the V200 Projector. Ignoring maintenance can lead to premature failure. Regular cleaning of the fans is essential to keep the LED and electronics cool. To clean, turn off the spotlight and use a small vacuum cleaner to remove dust and "fur balls." Avoid using compressed air cans, as they can spread dust and dirt. The frequency of fan cleaning depends on the environment; in dusty atmospheres, weekly checks are recommended, with a quick visual inspection. The front lens should also be cleaned to maintain light output, and shutter blades may require cleaning. When cleaning, use only a moist lint-free cloth with the spotlight turned off, and never use alcohol or solvents. Do not spray anything onto the fixture.
