can not get under or if they can but it is therefore too hot for
them they may refuse to go under, then in this case raise
the brooder hen slightly and check their behavior again.
Even if the unit is set at the correct height as the chicks grow
you will need to check daily/weekly their situation and
adjust the height as needed. This should be done a mini-
mum of once per week.
