BELGIAN WAFFLES

cups all-purpose flour 1

teaspoons RED STAR

active dry yeast

cup water
2 tablespoons sugar

cup butter

teaspoon salt 3 eggs
1. Sift dry ingredients together in a bowl.
2. In a microwave or double boiler, heat milk, water and butter until very
warm (120°-130°F. Butter does not need to melt).
3. Add milk mixture and eggs to dry ingredients. Using a hand mixer, mix
together thoroughly.
4. Cover bowl with plastic wrap or foil and refrigerate several hours or
overnight.

cups of batter onto the preheated, conditioned waffle grid in an
“X” pattern. Close and bake.
Makes about (12) 4-inch waffles.

1 tablespoon sugar oil
1. Sift dry ingredients together in a bowl.
2. Beat egg whites until stiff.
3. Add egg yolks, milk and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients. Using a
hand mixer, mix together thoroughly.
4. Gently fold egg whites into batter.

1. Sift dry ingredients together in a bowl.
2. Beat egg whites until stiff.
3. Using a hand mixer, mix egg yolks, milk and vegetable oil together.
Add to dry ingredients and mix together thoroughly.
4. Gently fold egg whites into batter.
