DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE LINE CORD SHOWS ANY DAMAGE, OR IF
APPLIANCE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY OR STOPS WORKING ENTIRELY.
IMPORTANT
During the rst few minutes of initial use, you may notice smoke and/or a slight odor.
This is normal and should quickly disappear. It will not recur after appliance has been
used a few more times.
BEFORE USING
1. Carefully unpack the blender and all parts. Remove all packaging materials,
including any stickers or labels.
2. Wash the glass jar, blade assembly and two-piece lid in warm, soapy water. Rinse
and dry thoroughly. DO NOT IMMERSE THE BASE (MOTOR HOUSING) IN
WATER.
3. Care should be taken when cleaning the blades, as the blades are sharp.
4. Wipe exterior surfaces of the base with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust particles
collected during packing and handling.
ASSEMBLING THE BLENDER
1. Position the motor base on a dry, level surface such as a countertop or table. Be
sure the power cord is unplugged.
2. If the blender was disassembled for cleaning, replace the sealing gasket on the
blade assembly, making sure all edges have been pressed down.
3. Insert the threaded end of the glass jar into the cutting blade assembly and turn
clockwise to tighten.
4. Position the jar on the motor base by aligning the dot on the cutting blade assembly
with the dot on the motor housing and turn clockwise to lock in place.
5. It is recommended to operate this appliance on a separate outlet and circuit from
other appliances to avoid overloading the circuit.

physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
