Misalignment during the swipe can also cause this issue; ensure the card is flush with the base of the card track while swiping. Experiment with different swiping speeds, directions, and card positions. Additionally, the magnetic read head might be dirty. Use a credit card reader cleaning card to clean it.

  If your Tokenworks Card Reader Palm device isn't powering on, the batteries may be low or dead. Connect the charger and wait 5 minutes. If the battery is fully depleted, it may take 5 minutes to turn on. Alternatively, the Palm computer might be hung up. Try a soft reset by gently pressing the reset hole on the back using the stylus.   If the CardVisor application isn't visible on the main screen of your Tokenworks Card Reader, check the category setting in the top right corner of the screen and select 'All' or 'Unfiled'. If that doesn't work, the application may have been deleted. Reinstall the CardVisor software using the Palm Desktop installation tool.
