What to do if I cannot discover Tomar Strobecom II 4140 Lantronix device using Device Installer?

  If you cannot discover the Tomar Network Hardware Lantronix device using Device Installer, and a properly configured network adapter has been selected, the Lantronix device may either be disconnected from the Ethernet or has an invalid network configuration. Check if the green light on the Lantronix unit is on. If it is on, the device network configuration may be invalid. Consult ‘Recovering an Unknown Device’.

Why can't I communicate with Tomar Network Hardware 4140 or OSPOC using OSPsoft?

  If the network configuration is good, but you still cannot communicate with the Tomar Network Hardware 4140 or OSPOC using OSPsoft, verify that the IP port in OSPsoft has been properly set to 10001.

  If the network configuration and IP port are properly configured, but you are still unable to communicate with the Tomar Network Hardware 4140 or OSPOC using OSPsoft, use Device Installer to verify that the desired Lantronix device can be discovered, is reachable, and its status is online.
