Failure to follow these warnings and the instructions could
result in serious injury or death.
Bassinet:
FALL HAZARD: To help prevent falls, do not use this product
when infant begins to push up or roll over unassisted on
hands and knees or has reached 17.5 lbs, whichever comes
first.
SUFFOCATION HAZARD: Infants have suffocated:
• In gaps between extra and the side of the Bassinet, and
• on soft bedding.
• Use ONLY the pad provided by The First Years. NEVER add
a pillow, comforter, or another mattress for padding.
• To reduce the risk of SIDS, pediatricians recommend
healthy infants be placed on their backs to sleep, unless
otherwise advised by your physician.
• If a sheet is used with the pad, use only the one provided
by the bassinet or cradle manufacturer or one specifically
designed to fit the dimension of the bassinet or cradle
mattress.
• Strings can cause strangulation! Do not place items with
a string around a child's neck, such as hood strings or
pacifier cords. Do not suspend strings over a bassinet or
cradle or attach strings to toys.
Changer:
FALL HAZARD – To help prevent falls, do not use this product
when infant begins to push up or roll over unassisted on
hands and knees or has reached 17.5 lbs, whichever comes
first.
• To prevent death or serious injury, always keep child within
arm's reach.
• Always secure this pad to the changing surface by ensuring
the pad is at the bottom of the bassinet.
• Read all instructions before use of the changing table.
• Keep instructions for future use.
• Do not use changing table, add-on changing unit, or
contoured changing pad if it is damaged or broken.
• This product is not intended to be used as a changing table
without using the vinyl side of the pad. Use of the product
without this may result in death or serious injury to your
child from falling. Follow all instructions on attaching and
using the vinyl pad.
Bedside Sleeper:
• See below for acceptable and unacceptable bed alignment,
always ensure bed is aligned per below:
