Overview

The ToolPRO 18V Li-Ion Cordless Impact Driver (CID18G.9) is a powerful and versatile tool designed for fastening and loosening bolts, nuts, and various threaded fasteners. It is not intended for use as a drill.

Function Description:

This cordless impact driver operates on an 18V Li-ion battery, providing the necessary power for demanding fastening tasks. It features a forward/reverse rotation control for easy switching between tightening and loosening applications. The tool is equipped with a sight light to illuminate the work area, enhancing visibility in dark or enclosed spaces. A battery capacity indicator allows users to monitor the remaining charge, ensuring uninterrupted work. For user convenience, a belt clip is included, enabling easy carrying on a belt or pocket. The impact driver also incorporates overload protection and temperature-dependent overload protection to safeguard the motor and battery from damage due to excessive load or high temperatures.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Voltage: 18V
  • Rated No-load speed: 0-2400 revolutions per minute (min)
  • Impact rate: 0-3000 impacts per minute (min)
  • Max torque: 140 Newton-meters (N.m)
  • Chuck size: 6.35mm hex
  • Machine Weight (Including battery): 1.42 kg
  • Battery Capacity: 1.5Ah Samsung Li-ion battery (27Wh) or 1.5/2.0Ah Li-ion battery
  • Charger Voltage: 100-240V ~ 50/60 Hz
  • Charger Input: 100-240V ~ 50/60Hz
  • Charger Output:
    • Fast charger: 10.8~20V 1.5A
    • Slow charger: 10.8--20V 400mA
  • Charging Time:
    • Fast charger: 1-1.5 hours
    • Slow charger: 3-5 hours

Usage Features:

  • Battery Installation and Removal: The battery pack is easily installed by sliding it onto the tool until it clicks into position and removed by depressing the release button and sliding it out.
  • Bit Insertion and Removal: The chuck sleeve is pulled forward to insert or remove a bit holder, socket, or screwdriver bit. Releasing the sleeve locks the bit in place. Users should verify the bit is fully locked by attempting to pull it out.
  • Reversible Function: The forward/reverse rotation control (lever) allows for easy switching between tightening (forward) and loosening (reverse) modes. It is important to note that the chuck's rotation direction should never be changed while it is still moving.
  • Switch Lock: The switch can be locked in the OFF position to prevent accidental starting, enhancing safety during storage or transport.
  • On/Off Switch and Variable Speed: Depressing the on/off switch starts the tool. It features a brake function that stops the chuck immediately upon release. The tool offers variable speed control, with the speed increasing with greater trigger pressure. Prolonged operation at low speed should be avoided to prevent excessive heat buildup.
  • Sight Light: The integrated LED light activates when the on/off switch is pressed (and the forward/reverse control is in the right/left position), providing illumination for the work area. It turns off when the switch is released.
  • Battery Capacity Indicator: The tool is equipped with a battery capacity indicator that lights up when the on/off switch is pressed (halfway or fully).
    • 3 lights: >70% charge
    • 2 lights: >40% charge
    • 1 light: <40% charge
    • 1 flashing light: Recharge battery
  • Belt Clip: A belt clip can be screwed onto the tool, allowing it to be conveniently clipped to a belt or pocket.
  • Overload Protection: The motor automatically stops if overloaded. Users should relieve the load and release the on/off switch to restart.
  • Temperature-Dependent Overload Protection: If the tool's load is too high or the battery temperature exceeds 75°C, the electronic control will switch off the power tool until the temperature returns to the optimum range.
  • Protection Against Deep Discharging: The Li-ion battery is protected from deep discharge by a "Discharging Protection System." The tool will switch off automatically when the battery is empty to prevent damage.

Maintenance Features:

  • No Lubrication or Maintenance Required: The power tool does not require additional lubrication or maintenance.
  • No User Serviceable Parts: There are no user-serviceable parts within the power tool.
  • Cleaning: The tool should never be cleaned with water or chemical cleaners. It should be wiped clean with a dry cloth.
  • Storage: Always store the power tool in a dry place.
  • Ventilation: Keep the motor ventilation slots clean and all working controls free of dust. Occasional sparks through the ventilation slots are normal and do not indicate damage.
  • Battery Charging for Storage: For long-term storage, the battery should be charged to at least half capacity. If the tool will not be used for extended periods, the battery should be charged every 3-6 months.
  • Battery Disposal: To preserve natural resources, exhausted Li-ion battery packs should be recycled or disposed of properly. Before disposal, discharge the battery by operating the drill, then remove it from the housing and cover the connections with heavy-duty adhesive tape to prevent short circuits and energy discharge. Do not attempt to open or remove any components of the battery pack.
  • Optimal Charging Temperature: For longer life and better performance, charge the battery pack when the air temperature is between 18°C and 24°C. Avoid charging in temperatures below 4.5°C or above 40.5°C, as this can cause serious damage to the battery pack.
  • Charger Protection: The charging device must be protected from moisture and should not be used in the open. Do not short out the contacts of the battery or charger. Ensure the connection between the charger and battery is correct and free of foreign objects. Keep charger slots free of dirt and humidity. Store in a dry and frost-free place.
  • Supervision During Charging: When charging batteries, ensure the charger is in a well-ventilated area, away from flammable materials, and not left unsupervised. Do not overcharge batteries.
  • Non-Rechargeable Batteries: Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries, as they can overheat and break.
