Overview

The Tornador Black is a professional cleaning tool designed for efficient and thorough cleaning of various surfaces, including fabric, dashboards, and other hard surfaces. This device utilizes a unique nebulizing action to deliver cleaning solutions, making it effective for a wide range of cleaning tasks in automotive and other professional settings.

Function Description

The core function of the Tornador Black is to clean surfaces by nebulizing cleaning liquid and delivering it with air pressure. This process allows the cleaning solution to penetrate deep into surfaces, dislodging dirt and debris. The tool features a liquid air valve that can be adjusted to either deliver cleaning solution or air only, providing versatility for both cleaning and drying operations.

For fabric cleaning, the tool first requires the removal of large debris and vacuuming the area. The liquid air valve is then turned to an upright position to deliver the cleaning solution. The cleaning nozzle should be held 1 to 3 inches from the area, and the trigger fully depressed. Cleaning should begin with an overlapping motion over the area. Once the cleaning is complete, the valve is turned to the down position to use air only, which helps to dry the area.

When cleaning dashboards and other hard surfaces, the recommended air pressure is 78 psi. The liquid valve is set to the straight up vertical position to spray the area with cleaning liquid using an overlapping motion. The cleaning liquid is allowed to remain on the surface for 10-15 seconds to work its magic. Afterward, the valve is turned to the horizontal down position to use air only, initiating the drying process with an overlapping motion, followed by wiping with a soft, dry towel.

Usage Features

The Tornador Black is designed for ease of use and efficiency, offering several features that enhance its performance and user experience:

  • Adjustable Liquid Air Valve: This valve allows the user to switch between delivering cleaning solution and air only, providing precise control over the cleaning and drying process. This dual functionality makes the tool highly adaptable to different cleaning needs and surfaces.
  • Nebulizing Action: The tool's ability to nebulize cleaning liquid ensures that the solution is finely dispersed, allowing for deeper penetration into fabric fibers and effective lifting of dirt without oversaturating the surface.
  • Ergonomic Design: While not explicitly detailed, the design implies a handheld tool that is easy to maneuver, allowing users to reach various angles and contours of the surfaces being cleaned.
  • Versatility: The Tornador Black is suitable for a broad spectrum of cleaning tasks, from deep cleaning fabric interiors to meticulously cleaning dashboards and hard surfaces, making it a valuable tool for comprehensive detailing.
  • Optimized Performance: The tool operates optimally within a specific air pressure range (5.5 to 6.3 bar or 78 to 90 psi), ensuring consistent and effective cleaning results. Adhering to these pressure guidelines is crucial for maximizing the tool's performance and longevity.
  • Safety Considerations: The manual emphasizes several safety features and precautions, such as wearing hearing protection and protective goggles, using respiratory protection, and ensuring good ventilation. It also advises against using acidic, flammable, or combustible products, stressing the use of Tornador-approved products only. This focus on safety ensures a secure working environment for the user.

Maintenance Features

Proper maintenance is crucial for extending the lifespan and ensuring the continued optimal performance of the Tornador Black. The manual outlines several key maintenance practices:

  • Preventing Damage: Users are advised to avoid dropping the gun and to disconnect it from the air supply when not in use. This helps prevent physical damage to the tool.
  • Preventing Dripping: After use, the liquid valve should be turned to the horizontal position to prevent fluid from dripping from the tip, which can lead to mess and potential waste of cleaning solution.
  • Securing Components: It is important to tighten the jar while holding the lid to prevent loosening or stripping of the gun assembly, ensuring all parts remain securely attached.
  • Cleaning Solution Compatibility: The tool is designed to work best with neutral pH and high-volume cleaning products. Users are strongly advised to use only approved cleaning liquids and to avoid high alkaline or acidic products, as these can cause premature wear or damage. Always follow manufacturer's dilution instructions and test in a small area first.
  • Regular Cleaning: After every use, the cone of the gun should be cleaned by placing the nozzle 2-3 inches into a bucket of soapy water and depressing the trigger once or twice. This quickly removes dirt buildup and prevents premature wear. The cone should also be removed and rinsed frequently for thorough cleaning.
  • Wiping Away Debris: When cleaning with the Tornador Black, a microfiber towel should be used to wipe away any remaining debris or solution, ensuring a clean finish and preventing residue buildup on the tool itself.
  • Air Pressure Management: Avoiding excessive air pressure (above 90 psi) is critical, as it can cause premature wear on the cone and assembly. Maintaining the recommended air pressure range is essential for the tool's longevity.
  • Pre-Use Checks: Before each use, it is important to check the device for leaking hoses, loose fittings, or damaged parts to ensure safe and effective operation.
  • Air Supply Purity: Users must ensure that the compressor's tank and air lines are free from impurities, oil, and water contamination. Contaminated air can negatively impact the tool's performance and potentially cause damage.

By adhering to these usage and maintenance guidelines, users can ensure the Tornador Black remains a reliable and effective tool for professional cleaning tasks, delivering consistent results and a long operational life.
