Overview

The TORNADOR® MAX™ Z-030 is a professional cleaning tool designed for efficient and effective cleaning of various surfaces, including fabric, dashboards, and other hard surfaces. It operates using compressed air to deliver cleaning solutions and dry surfaces, making it suitable for a wide range of detailing and cleaning tasks.

Function Description

The TORNADOR® MAX™ Z-030 utilizes a unique rotational cleaning action to dislodge dirt and grime from surfaces. When the trigger is depressed, a cleaning solution (when the liquid air valve is in the upright position) or air (when the valve is in the down or horizontal position) is expelled through a rotating cone. This creates a powerful, tornado-like cleaning effect that lifts contaminants from the surface. The tool is designed for both wet cleaning with solutions and dry air drying, allowing for a complete cleaning process with a single device. Its primary function is to deep clean and dry surfaces quickly and efficiently, making it ideal for automotive interiors, upholstery, and other hard-to-reach areas.

Important Technical Specifications

The TORNADOR® MAX™ Z-030 requires a constant air pressure between 4.5 and 6.5 bar (78 to 90 psi) for optimum performance. It is crucial not to exceed 90 psi to prevent premature wear on the cone and assembly. The tool features a built-in air regulator to help maintain consistent pressure. It is equipped with a new patented rotation set, which is central to its cleaning mechanism. The device also includes a LED tactical light for improved visibility in dimly lit areas, a customizable hand grip for user comfort, and a swivel air fitting for ease of maneuverability. The cleaning solution jar is designed to be securely attached to the gun assembly. The tool is designed for use with approved cleaning liquids, specifically recommending neutral pH, highly diluted water-based products, and TORNADOR® products.

Usage Features

Safety Requirements: Users must wear appropriate hearing and eye protection and operate the tool in a well-ventilated area. The air pressure must not exceed 90 psi. It is strictly advised not to use acidic, flammable, or combustible products, and to "USE ONLY WITH TORNADOR® PRODUCTS." The cleaning tool should never be pointed at a person's face or body, and it must be kept out of reach of children.

Air Requirements: A constant air pressure between 4.5 and 6.5 bar (78 to 90 psi) is necessary for optimal performance. Users should ensure the compressor tank and air lines are free from impurities, oil, and water contamination.

Cleaning Fabric:

  1. Remove large debris and vacuum the area.
  2. Turn the liquid air valve to the upright position to deliver cleaning solution. Always use approved cleaning liquids.
  3. Hold the cleaning nozzle 1 to 3 inches from the area and fully depress the trigger, moving with an overlapping motion.
  4. Turn the valve to the down position to use only air and dry the area.

Cleaning Dashboard and Hard Surfaces:

  1. Set recommended air pressure at 78 psi.
  2. Turn the liquid valve to the straight up vertical position and spray the area with an overlapping motion.
  3. Allow the cleaning liquid to remain on the surface for 10-15 seconds.
  4. Follow with air only by turning the valve to the horizontal down position, drying with an overlapping motion, and then wiping with a soft dry towel.

Maintenance Features

Care & Maintenance:

  • Avoid dropping the gun and disconnect it when not in use.
  • Turn the liquid valve to the horizontal position after use to prevent dripping from the tip.
  • Tighten the jar while holding the lid to prevent loosening or stripping the gun assembly.
  • Always use approved cleaning liquids; high alkaline or acidic products are not recommended. Neutral pH and highly diluted water-based products work best. Always test in a small area.
  • When cleaning, use a microfiber towel to wipe away any remaining debris or solution.
  • Keep the cone of the gun clean by removing and rinsing it frequently.
  • Avoid excessive air pressure (over 90 psi) to prevent premature wear.
  • NOTE: After every use, place the nozzle 2-3 inches into a bucket of soapy water and depress the trigger once or twice to quickly remove dirt buildup in the cone, preventing premature wear.

Troubleshooting:

  • Tip will not oscillate: Check for low air pressure.
  • Tip moves slowly: Check for dirt build-up and clean.
  • Tip drips fluid: Keep the liquid valve in the horizontal position when not in use.
  • Will not dispense liquid: Check the pickup tube for debris and rinse it out.

Limited Warranty: The TORNADOR® MAX™ Z-030 comes with a "90 day limited manufacturer's warranty against manufacturing & part defects." The warranty is voided if the tool is used for anything other than its intended purpose or with products other than TORNADOR® products.
