2. Filling the Engine with Oil Product Overview
Procedure
Important: Your mower does not come with oil
in the engine, but it does come with a bottle of oil.
Before starting the engine, fill the engine with oil.
Max. fi11:20 oz. (0.59 1), type: SAE 30 detergent oil
with an API service classification of SF, SG, SH, SJ, SL,
or higher.
Note: When the crank case is empb, pour about 3/4
of the crankcase capacity of oil in the crankcase, then
do the following:
1. Remove the dipstick (Figure 4).

Slowly pour oil into the oil fill tube until the oil level
reaches the Full line on the dipstick (Figure 4). Wait
3 minutes after adding oil to check the oil level with
the dipstick. Do not overfill. (Max. fi11:20 oz. (0.59
1), type: SAE 30 detergent oil with an API service
classification of SF, SG, SH, SJ, SL, or higher.)
3. Install the dipstick securel>
Important: Change the engine oil after the first
5 operating hours; change it yearly thereafter.
