Do not lea v e the appliance when plug g ed in. Unplug from outlet
when not in use and before ser vicing .
W ARNING- T o reduce the risk of electric shoc k, do not use
the appliance on w et surfaces . Do not expose it to rain. Store

Use only as described in this man ual. Use only man ufacturer’ s

of the body a w a y from openings and mo ving par ts . Be a w are of
the position of the blo w er and the air inlets during operation.
Loose clothing, jew elr y and hair can be dra wn into the inlets (refer
to the follo wing figure) and ma y result in personal injur y . Alw a ys
w ear substantial footw ear , long pants , and eye protection.
Caution—Mo ving P ar ts —do not operate the appliance without
the air inlet guard in place . R efer to Setup for proper assembly
instr uctions .
Do not use with damag ed cord or plug . If appliance is not
w orking as it should, has been dropped, damag ed, left outdoors ,
or dropped into w ater , retur n it to a ser vice dealer .
Do not pull or car r y b y cord, use cord as a handle , close a door
on cord, or pull cord around shar p edg es or cor ners . K ee p cord
a w a y from heated surfaces .
Do not unplug b y pulling on cord. T o unplug, g rasp the plug,
not the cord.
Do not handle plug or appliance with w et hands .
Do not put any object into openings . Do not use with any
opening bloc k ed; k ee p free of dust, lint, hair , and anything that
ma y reduce air flo w .
T ur n off all controls before unplug ging .
Use extra care when cleaning on stairs .
Do not use to v acuum up flammable or combustible liquids , suc h
as g asoline , or use in areas where they ma y be present.
T his appliance is pro vided with double insulation. Use only
identical re placement par ts . See instr uctions for ser vicing of
Double-Insulated Appliances .
Do not v acuum anything that is bur ning or smoking, suc h as
