11. Remove the hairpin cotter and washer from both
ends of the hinge pin (Fig. 0756).

12. Remove the hinge pin and torsion spring from the
shifter assembly (Fig. 0757).

9. Remove the screw and cable clamp securing the
speed control cable to the shifter bracket assembly
