17. Plug the wire harness into the brake switch (Fig.
0027).

Note: 2010 models use a nut to secure the upper
end of the parking brake rod (Fig. 0029).

18. Feed the brake rod up through the fuel tank base
and secure the upper end to the brake arm using a
hairpin cotter (Fig. 0028).
