Preparing the Machine

Procedure
W ARNING
The blade is sharp; contacting the blade can
result in serious personal injury .
W ear gloves when servicing the blade.
W ARNING
T ipping the machine may cause the fuel to
leak. Fuel is ammable and explosive, and
can cause personal injury .
Run the engine dry or remove the fuel with a
hand pump; never siphon the fuel.
Important: Do not add fuel to the fuel tank prior
to installing the brush kit.
For the ProStripe 560 mower:
1. Run the engine to empty the fuel tank or remove
the fuel with a hand pump.
If you do not use all the fuel in the tank, use a
hand fuel pump to remove the fuel.
