Chapter 4 TROUBLESHOOTING
I cannot print from my computer.
Check the following:
Is the power of this equipment turned ON?
Is the power cable plugged in? If it is not, turn the
MAIN POWER switch OFF, and then plug the power
cable into an outlet.
Is the network cable disconnected? If it is
disconnected, connect it to the network interface
connector of this equipment.
Has toner or paper run out?
Does the set number of pages exceed the
maximum allowed for the specic department or
user?
If the problem still occurs after making the
conrmations above, refer to the following guide or
contact your administrator:

How can I check the remaining amount of toner in
a toner cartridge?
You can check the remaining amount of toner in a
toner cartridge following the procedure below.
1. Press [JOB STATUS] on the touch panel.
2. Press the [TONER] tab. The remaining amount of
toner in a toner cartridge appears.
3. When the checking is nished, press [CLOSE] and
then press [JOB STATUS].
When “Toner near Empty appears on the touch
panel, prepare a new toner cartridge. The equipment
still can print about 2000 pages after this message
has appeared.
Replace the toner cartridge after “Install new toner
cartridge appears on the touch panel.

The paper jam symbol does not disappear even
after the paper jam in the Reversing Automatic
Document Feeder has been released.
Open the cover beneath the Reversing Automatic
Document Feeder, and then remove the original.

How can I conrm or change the IP address of this
equipment?
You can conrm or change the IP address from the
touch panel of this equipment as follows:
USER FUNCTIONS menu > ADMIN > NETWORK >
IPv4

The equipment does not recognize the inserted
USB media.
Conrm that the USB media is securely inserted to
the USB port of this equipment.
USB media for this equipment shall meet the
conditions below.
Formatted in FAT16 or FAT32
Having only one partition
* Some USB media may not be recognized by this
equipment even they meet the conditions above. In
this case, try to use USB media of other
manufacturers that meet the conditions above.
