This document describes the TOTOLINK AirMemo N1, a smart home data server designed as a private cloud disk for storing and sharing important documents, photos, and audio/video collections. It offers remote access, allowing users to access their data anytime, anywhere without needing to carry a physical storage device.

Function Description

The AirMemo N1 functions as a personal cloud storage device, enabling users to store and manage their digital content securely. It supports automatic backup of files from connected devices, freeing up memory on phones and other devices. The device also acts as a home media center, facilitating multi-user file sharing within a family or work environment. Each user can set up a private account and create their own personal data center, with centralized management of personal data across various operating systems like Android, iOS, and Windows. Additionally, it supports offline downloads, allowing users to remotely control the "T-Smart Home" app to download high-definition movies in advance, manage download tasks, and view progress.

Usage Features

It supports 2.0/2.5/3.5 inch hard drives and utilizes a Gigabit LAN port for fast and reliable data transfer, achieving sequential throughput exceeding 114 Mbps/s for reads and 117 Mbps/s for writes.

3. Automatically Backup Files – Free Up Phone Memory: The AirMemo N1 can automatically detect unbacked data (pictures, videos, audio, contacts) on a phone and perform one-click backups. It also supports automatic identification and classification of file types, such as sorting pictures by time, ensuring proper preservation of memories.

4. Remote Access, Anytime and Anywhere: By logging into the "T-Smart Home" app on a mobile phone, users can access AirMemo N1 data from any location. Data can be downloaded and uploaded across different devices (mobile phones, tablets, computers). This feature enhances remote work efficiency and convenience during travel.

5. Support Offline Download: The AirMemo N1 supports offline downloads, allowing users to remotely control the T-Smart Home app to download high-definition movies in advance, manage download tasks, and monitor progress. For entertainment, it can connect to TVs and game consoles to play, view, listen to, and share videos, photos, and music. 10. Interface and Button Description:

  • Power port: Power supply
  • Hard drive port: Insert hard drive, power drive, read and write data
  • LAN port: Connect with router via RJ45 cable for network transmission
  • USB port: Connect to a mobile hard drive to import/export data via APP
  • Power button: Powering on/off the device
  • RST button: Press and hold for 5 seconds until all indicators flash to restore factory settings (data on hard disk will be retained).

11. Mobile Terminal Configuration: Users can download the "T-Smart Home" app from AppStore (iOS), Google Play (Android), or 360 mobile assistant (Harmony). Upon first use, users need to register an account with a valid email address and a password of 8-16 letters or numbers (no special characters). The app requires certain permissions during installation to function correctly.

12. Device Setup: After connecting the N1 to power and the router's LAN port, and ensuring the phone is on the same LAN, open the app. The app will automatically discover the N1 device and display its MAC address.

  • First user: Sets device name and management password. If it's a new hard disk, it needs to be formatted. If not, backup data first.
  • Other users: Can add the device by local discovery or by scanning a QR code provided by the first user. Authorization from the first user is required.

13. PC Login: When logging in from a PC for the first time, users must allow network access through Windows Defender. Login can be done using the account and password registered on the mobile phone or by scanning a QR code with the mobile app's "PC login" function. If the password is incorrect, an error message will appear. Upon successful login, the device list and name will be displayed, allowing users to upload/download files.

Maintenance Features

1. Forgotten Password:

  • User password: If forgotten, enter the wrong password, then click "forget password" to receive a verification code via email and set a new password.
  • Management password: If forgotten, reset the management password by restoring factory settings. This will not clear user data as it's stored on the hard disk. To reset, long-press the RST button for 5-7 seconds until all lights flash, then release. After reset, remove the old device from the app and re-add it, configuring a new name and management password.

2. Equipment Management: Allows authorization or rejection of new users joining the device. Existing users can also be removed.

3. Password Management: To modify the login account password, the original password must be entered first.

4. Other Services (Samba and FTP Server): Provides high-speed access to AirMemo N1 under a PC local network. Samba and FTP login usernames are email accounts, with a customizable password (default: admin123).

  • Samba login: Use WIN+R to enter "\+AirMemo N1's IP address" (found in "Other Services" in the APP). An authentication screen will prompt for username and password.
  • FTP login: N1 uses a secure transmission method and encrypts data, requiring an FTP client to access its FTP Server.

5. Firmware Upgrade: The AirMemo N1 supports OTA (Over-The-Air) upgrades and local upgrades via a web page.

  • OTA upgrade: Open the app, go to device management, and click the upgrade icon to check for the latest firmware version. If an update is available, it will jump to the upgrade page. Do not power off during the upgrade.
  • Web upgrade: Check the N1's IP address in "Other Services" in the app. Connect the PC to the same router as the N1, open a browser, and enter the N1's IP address to access its management page. Log in with username "admin" and the management password. Select the firmware file and upload it. The device will automatically upgrade and restart. The upgrade process takes about 2 minutes and 30 seconds (optimized in newer versions).

6. Software Download: Links are provided for downloading the "T-Smart Home" app for Android and iOS, as well as the PC Client.

7. Uploading and Viewing Files: Users can upload files by clicking the "+" icon in the bottom right corner of the app. Authorization is required. Files can be categorized by type and uploaded to corresponding folders. New folders can be created. Personal files are viewed in the "My Personal Space" ribbon, categorized by format.

8. Encrypted Space: Accessible by sliding to the bottom of the home page. The first time it's used, a 4-6 digit password needs to be set. Users can upload or move pictures, videos, audio, and documents to this encrypted space. The password for the encrypted space can be changed, and if forgotten, a verification code can be sent to the registered email.

9. External Storage: Insert a U disk or mobile hard disk via USB. The main interface will show the external storage function, allowing files to be copied from the N1 to the U disk.

10. Download Task: Click "New" in the upper right corner to create a new download task. Paste the download link to download torrents, or upload local torrents. Downloaded files can be viewed and deleted in "Downloads."

11. Sharing Center: Users can add files to the sharing center to share with other users on the same device and view data shared by others.

12. Storage Details: View current total capacity, available capacity, and hard disk capacity. The app cache can also be cleared.

13. Recycle Bin: Deleted files are moved to the recycle bin and can be recovered or permanently deleted.

14. My Personal Space - Introduction:

  • Photo: Stores image files uploaded by users. Users can view, upload, and create directories to classify photos.
  • Video: Stores video files uploaded by users. Users can view and upload corresponding video files.
  • Audio: Stores audio files uploaded by users (music, recordings). Users can view and upload corresponding audio files.
  • Doc: Stores document files uploaded by users. Users can view and upload corresponding document files.
  • Address Book: Uploads address book information from the user's cell phone, supporting multiple numbers per contact to prevent loss of important contact information.
  • Download: Saves files and information downloaded remotely by users, along with download logs. Facilitates re-downloading lost files.
