Overview

The TOWER T17025 1.5 Litre Air Fryer is a compact and efficient kitchen appliance designed for cooking quick, healthy meals with minimal oil. It utilizes a rapid air circulation system to cook food fast, saving energy and retaining the nutritional value and taste of fried food.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model: T17025
  • Capacity: 1.5 Litre
  • Rated Voltage: 220-240V ~ 50/60Hz
  • Power Consumption: 900W
  • Timer: 30-minute manual timer with a bell
  • Safety Features: Built-in timer for automatic shut-off, safety switch in the drawer to prevent accidental operation if the basket and drawer are not properly situated.

Usage Features:

The air fryer is designed for simple and intuitive operation. Before first use, it's essential to remove all packaging, check for damage, and thoroughly clean the basket and pan with hot water and washing-up liquid. The appliance should be placed on a stable, horizontal, and non-heat resistant surface. It's crucial not to fill the pan with oil or any other liquid, as this is an oil-free fryer that operates with hot air.

To use the air fryer:

  1. Connect the mains plug to an earthed wall socket.
  2. Pull out the pan and place ingredients into the basket.
  3. Slide the pan back into the air fryer, ensuring it's correctly aligned.
  4. Turn the timer dial to the desired preparation time.
  5. Turn the temperature control dial to the required temperature. For a cold appliance, add 3 minutes to the preparation time for pre-heating.
  6. The appliance will automatically switch off when the timer reaches zero, or it can be manually switched off by turning the timer dial to 0.

The air fryer's rapid air technology allows for brief removal of the pan during frying without significantly disturbing the cooking process. Some ingredients may require shaking halfway through the cooking time to ensure even frying. To do this, pull the pan out by the handle, shake it, and then slide it back in. For larger or fragile ingredients, tongs can be used to remove them from the basket.

The manual provides a "Settings" table to help users select appropriate times and temperatures for various food types, including thin and thick frozen fries, potato gratin, steak, pork chops, hamburger, sausage rolls, drumsticks, chicken breast, spring rolls, frozen chicken nuggets, frozen fish fingers, frozen bread crumbed cheese snacks, stuffed vegetables, cake, quiche, muffins, and sweet snacks. These settings are indicative and may need adjustment based on ingredient size, shape, and brand.

Tips for optimal results include:

  • Smaller ingredients may require shorter cooking times.
  • Shaking smaller ingredients halfway through cooking helps prevent uneven frying.
  • Adding a small amount of oil to fresh potatoes can enhance crispiness.
  • Avoid using extremely greasy ingredients.
  • The optimal amount for crispy fries is 300 grams.
  • Pre-made dough can be used for quick and easy snacks, requiring shorter preparation times.
  • Baking tins or oven dishes can be used in the basket for cakes, quiches, or fragile/filled ingredients.
  • The air fryer can also reheat ingredients at 150°C for up to 10 minutes.
