The outside temperature is indicated on
the display when the ignition switch is
on.
The displayed temperature ranges from
−30"C (−22"F) up to 50" C (122"F).
If there is any abnormality in the connec-
tion of the outside air temperature sensor,
“−−” will appear on the display. If “−−” ap-
pears on the display, contact your Toyota
dealer.
There may be a case that “−−” appears
momentarily when the ignition is quickly
turned to “ON”. It is normal if it goes out
soon.
(a) If parking brake
is off, stop
immediately
and contact
Toyota dealer.
(b) Fasten driver’s
seat belt.
If the indicator or
buzzer comes on...
(c) Fasten front
passenger’s seat
belt.

(indicator and buzzer)
Do this.
(d) Stop and check.
(g) Stop and check.
(h) Take vehicle to
Toyota dealer.
If brake system
warning light is
also on, stop
immediately and
contact Toyota
dealer.

If the indicator or
buzzer comes on...
Do this.
(f) Fill up tank.
(e) Take vehicle to
Toyota dealer.
