INSPECTION
1. INSPECT GEAR SYNCHRONIZER RINGS
a. Check for wear or damage.
b. Check the braking effect of the synchronizer ring.
Turn the synchronizer ring in one direction while pushing it to the gear cone. Check that the ring
locks.
