Follow codes, use dedicated 15-amp circuit, 14 GA wire, indoor 6" round duct, 1" clearance.
Select a 14" section of duct at least 4 feet from the outlet register for installation.
Position wiring enclosure for permanent access to the wiring compartment.
Crimp duct ends and fasten with screws for rigid metal duct installation.
Attach flexible duct directly to the HotPod™ housing using approved methods.
Support HotPod™ on both ends with duct hangers or straps.
Install a 24-VAC thermostat and use 4-strand thermostat wire.
Remove power from the 120 VAC circuit before wiring and do not energize until complete.
Connect 120 VAC circuit, black wire to L1 in, white wire to NEUTL, and ground wire.
Connect Red to R, White to W, Yellow/Green to Y/G, Blue to C terminals.
Move the brown HotPod™ wire from HEATER NEUTL to the SPARE terminal.
Apply power and set thermostat to maximum heat to check fan and heater operation.
If no heat output, remove power immediately and re-check all connections.
A slight odor is normal on first use due to oxidation of protective coatings.
