Direct pre-amplifier mode
The TCI 1 RE offers the option of a direct pre-amplifier
mode.
In this mode of operation the treble signals are fed directly
to the pre-amplifier of the valve output stage, i.e. they are
not fed through the standard power amplifiers first.
Caution:
Bridged-Mono power amplifier mode is not
permitted in combination with direct
preamplifier connection to „LINE-IN“ input.
It can cause damage to pre-amp or power
amp. If you want to use direct pre-amp
connextion with bridged power amps, the
TCI 1 RE have to be modified. Please ask
your specialist dealer. For details.
*) Notes:
As already mentioned, the loudspeaker terminals can
be wired using standard connections, or the bi-wiring
or bi-amping options. Whichever variant you choose,
take care to maintain correct polarity at the loudspea-
ker terminals!
The sensitivity of the treble input LINE IN must be
adjusted to match the amplification factor of the po-
wer amplifiers (see section „Controls: Signal input
with level adjustor“).
