  If the UniLock vehicle restraint is operational, but the hook drops while the transport vehicle is being serviced, and this causes the lights to change, check the brake torque. If the brake torque is less than 42 ft-lbs, or the chain is loose or broken, adjust or replace them as required. Also, check the drive motor, and repair or replace it if needed.

  If the UniLock vehicle restraint lights are not working in the correct order, first, verify that all field wiring connections are correct. If the inside red light does not change, the LS1 may be defective. If the outside lights and inside green light do not change, the LS2 may be defective.

  If the UniLock vehicle restraint is operational, but all the lights are out, check and replace the LED lights as needed. Also, check the flasher and replace it if it is bad.

  If the UniLock vehicle restraint carriage does not return to the full up position, replace all the springs. Verify that the roller track plate is straight and not binding or catching. Clean debris out of the roller track, and/or verify that the roller bearings are greased and move freely.
