What to do if Triad 300 won’t fire: check power to boiler and burner?
    • K
      kellertinaAug 9, 2025
If your Triad Boiler won't fire, first ensure the power switch on the boiler's electrical junction box is in the ON position. If the problem persists, turn the power switch OFF, remove the screw on cover and inspect the components inside.

What to do if there is a “call for heat” but the burner won’t fire (L404 Controls) in Triad 300?

      Cynthia HamiltonAug 14, 2025
If there is a “call for heat” but the burner won’t fire on your Triad Boiler (L404 Controls), check the water level in the gauge glass on the front of the boiler and make sure both low water controls are working correctly. If the manual reset circuit of the 67M LWCO has tripped, this indicates a serious low water condition for the boiler. Also, check the pressure gauge and verify that the L404 Pressuretrols are operating correctly. If the pressure exceeds the limit setting and has tripped the manual reset, do not reset the control; immediately take the boiler out of service. Verify that the set point for the Operating Pressure limit is set lower than the Safety Pressure High Limit.

To troubleshoot a 'No Call For Heat' issue with a Triad Boiler using an P7810C Pressuretrol, begin by checking the water level in the gauge glass on the front of the boiler and verify that both low water controls are functioning correctly. If the manual reset circuit of the 67M LWCO has “tripped,” this indicates a serious low water condition for the boiler. Check the pressure gauge on the front of the boiler and verify that the P7810C Pressuretrol is operating correctly. If the manual reset circuit of the P7810C has “tripped,” this indicates a serious high pressure condition. Also, verify that the set point for the Operating Pressure limit is set lower than the Safety Pressure High Limit.

How to check the R845A control center when there is no “call for heat” in Triad Boiler?
    • L
      lfisherAug 25, 2025
To address a 'No Call For Heat' issue on your Triad Boiler, if the T-T terminals lack power, the control may be defective. If there is low voltage power at T-T, check the circuit between T-T in the Control Center and the actuating device that completes this connection.

What to do if Triad 300 is flooding?
    • D
      david29Aug 29, 2025
If your Triad Boiler is flooding, it might be due to a vacuum occurring when the boiler turns off. In this case, add a check valve that will close under pressure but opens under a vacuum. Also, check to see if the installation is a gravity return system with motorized zone valves.

What to do if pump runs but water is not entering Triad 300 Boiler?
    • N
      nathanwhiteSep 3, 2025
If the pump runs but water is not entering your Triad Boiler, it could be due to a possible vapor lock. Let the system cool down and check the steam traps, ensuring that return lines are not insulated. Also, inspect the check valves and clean or replace them if needed.
