The mineral basket, however, requires special care: it should be rinsed under cold running tap water for a few seconds and wiped with a soft sponge or washcloth, without detergent or soap.
- Assembly: The spinner is placed in the middle of the mineral basket. The mineral basket is then positioned inside the pitcher, pushed down at the bottom, and secured by rotating it clockwise with slight pressure.
- First Cycle (Initial Cleaning): The pitcher is filled with filtered water and placed on the base. The power button is pressed, followed by selecting 9 minutes using the minute button, and then pressing the start button. During this initial cycle, it is normal for small particles to emerge from the mineral basket. After the cycle completes (indicated by "0" on the LED display), the water should be emptied. This step is also recommended if the Duet has not been used for an extended period.
- Regular Operation: To use the Duet, filtered water is poured into the pitcher, which is then placed on the base. The unit is powered on, and the desired cycle time (9, 18, or 27 minutes) is selected using the minute button. Pressing the start/stop button initiates the operation, with the LED display showing the remaining minutes. The unit automatically stops when the cycle is complete.
