Make sure the motorcycle is stabilised and adequately supported.
A correctly supported motorcycle will help prevent it from falling.
An unstable motorcycle may fall, causing injury to the operator or damage to the
motorcycle.
1. Lift the rear wheel into position, aligning the wheel, onto the five studs on the final
drive unit.
2. Loosely fit the wheel nuts.
3. Using the tyre valve as a reference point, tighten the wheel nuts in the following two
stages:
Stage 1
4. Tighten the fixings A to E in the sequence shown to 25 Nm.
Stage 2
4. Tighten the fixings A to E in the sequence shown to 100 Nm.
