The engine oil and oil filter must be replaced in accordance with scheduled maintenance
requirements.
• Warm up the engine thoroughly, and then stop the engine. Secure the motorcycle
on the side stand on level ground.
• Place an oil drain pan beneath the engine.
• Remove the three sump plugs from the bottom of the sump and allow the engine
oil to drain. Discard the washers.

NOTICE
To access the oil filter, the radiator lower surround will need to be pivoted slightly
forward.
• Position the oil drain pan beneath the engine oil filter.
• Release the two fixings securing the radiator lower surround to its bracket.
