2. Lubricate the starter motor O-ring with a small amount of petroleum jelly.

NOTICE
Make sure that when fitting starter motor not to pinch or trap the starter motor lead
between the crankcase and starter motor upper mounting bolt.
3. Make sure the alternator harness and the starter motor cable are routed as noted for
removal.
