Make sure the motorcycle is stabilised and adequately supported.
A correctly supported motorcycle will help prevent it from falling.
An unstable motorcycle may fall, causing injury to the operator or damage to the
motorcycle.
12. Raise and support the motorcycle so that the front wheel is clear of the ground.
13. Move the handlebars from lock-to-lock whilst checking for signs of tight spots or
notchiness (bearings overtightened).
14. Hold the lower end of the front forks and try to move them forward and backward to
check for signs of free play in the bearings (bearings insufficiently tightened or worn).
15. Adjust as described in Steering Head Bearing - Adjustment then lower the
motorcycle to the ground.
