Camshaft – Identification
The inlet and exhaust camshafts are different. The exhaust camshaft has three
decompressors fitted to it..
The mark on the camshaft boss is not a timing mark, it is used as a visual aid during the
timing adjustment procedure.

Camshaft – Installation
Make sure the motorcycle is stabilised and adequately supported.
A correctly supported motorcycle will help prevent it from falling.
An unstable motorcycle may fall, causing injury to the operator or damage to the
motorcycle.
