Alternator
To
prevent
damage

alternator,
do
not
run
the engme
while
the
battery
or
any
of
the
charging
CirCUlI cables are
disconnected
Ensure
that
all
electrical
connections

maintained
tight
at all

Should

run
the

the

Incomplete,
disconnect
the
electrical
cables

alternator

alternator
has
polarity-sensitive
components

be irreparably
damaged
if subjected to

polarity.

the
battery
earth
lead
is
always
connected

battery
negative
terminal.
Battery
Ensure
that

top

terminals

clean
and
dry

the
terminals

petroleum
Jelly (Vaseline)

electrolyte
level
monthly
and, If required,
replenish
with
distilled
water
as
detailed

electrolyte

been

aCid corrOSion
Ensure
that
the
ballery
IS
always
firmly
clamped
