Do you have a question about the Trividia Health TRUEtrack and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The TRUEtrack Blood Glucose Monitoring System is designed for self-testing of blood glucose levels. It provides a simple, two-step process for obtaining a blood glucose reading.

Function Description:

The TRUEtrack Meter measures blood glucose results within a range of 20-600 mg/dL. It uses TRUEtrack Test Strips to analyze human capillary whole blood or TRUEcontrol Glucose Control Solution. The system operates on an electrochemical assay method, providing plasma values. The meter automatically turns on when a Test Strip Contact End is inserted into the Test Port or when the 'S' button is pressed. It turns off automatically after the Test Strip is removed or after 2 minutes of non-use. The meter comes with pre-set time and date, which can be updated as needed.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Result Range: 20-600 mg/dL
  • Sample Size: Minimum 1 microliter (1 µL)
  • Sample Type: Human capillary whole blood or TRUEcontrol Glucose Control Solution
  • Test Time: 10 seconds
  • Result Value: Plasma values
  • Assay Method: Electrochemical
  • Reference Method: Yellow Springs Instrument (YSI)
  • Power Supply: One 3V lithium battery (#CR2032, non-rechargeable)
  • Battery Life: Approximately 1,100 tests or 1 year
  • Automatic Shut-off: After two minutes of non-use
  • Weight: 1.66 ounces
  • Size: 3.52" x 2.15" x 0.67"
  • Memory Size: 365 blood glucose results, 1 Control Test result
  • Operating Range (Meter & Test Strips):
    • Relative Humidity: 10-90% (Non-condensing)
    • Temperature: 50°-104°F
    • Hematocrit: 30-55%
  • Display: Shows test results, messages, user prompts, and other information, including time, date, 14/30 Day Average, Code, Battery Symbol, Temperature Symbol, Drop Symbol, Control Symbol, and Unit of Measure (factory set to mg/dL).

Usage Features:

  • Two Simple Steps: Insert test strip, then apply blood sample.
  • Meter Controls:
    • < Button: Decreases numbers in Set Up, removes Control Symbol, moves backward in time/date when viewing results in Memory.
    • S Button: Selects settings, views Morning Average values, views results in Memory.
    • + Button: Increases numbers in Set Up, adds Control Symbol, moves forward in time/date when viewing results in Memory.
  • Test Port: Where the TRUEtrack Test Strip is inserted.
  • Data Port: For contacting Customer Care.
  • Code Chip Port: Where the Code Chip is inserted.
  • Coding: A Code Chip is packaged with each box of Test Strips. The code on the chip must match the code on the meter display and the test strip vial label for accurate results. The Code Chip should be replaced with each new box of Test Strips.
  • Blood Sample Collection:
    • Fingertip: Prepare fingertip by washing hands, lance fingertip, gently massage finger to form a blood drop.
    • Forearm (Alternate Site Testing): Select area, wash hands, rub area vigorously or apply warm compress, place lancing device firmly against forearm, press trigger button, apply firm pressure for 10 seconds. Note: Some lancing devices include a special end cap for alternate site testing. Forearm results may not always be the same as fingertip results, especially within 2 hours of eating, exercise, or insulin, if blood sugar is rapidly changing, if routine results fluctuate, if ill or under stress, if forearm results don't match how you feel, or if blood sugar is low/high without symptoms. Fingertip testing is recommended for more accurate results in these situations.
  • Quality Control Testing: Recommended for practice, occasionally with new vials of strips, if results seem unusual, if the vial has been exposed to extreme conditions, or if meter damage is suspected. Three levels of TRUEcontrol Glucose Control Solution are available. Control ranges printed on the Test Strip vial label are for Control Test results only and are not suggested levels for blood glucose. Do not drink Glucose Control.
  • Memory Function: Stores 365 blood glucose results and 1 Control Test result. Results are displayed from most recent to oldest. Morning Averages (14 and 30 Day) are calculated using the earliest blood test result performed between 4:00 am - 9:59 am.
  • System Out of Range Warning Messages:
    • "Lo" appears if blood glucose is less than 20 mg/dL.
    • "Hi" appears if blood glucose is greater than 600 mg/dL.
    • Repeat test to confirm "Lo" or "Hi" results. If results persist, contact a doctor or diabetes healthcare professional immediately. "Lo" results are included in the Morning Average as 20 mg/dL, and "Hi" results as 600 mg/dL.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for various issues, including the meter not turning on, sample not detected, error messages (E-1 to E-9), low/dead battery, and communication errors, with corresponding reasons and actions.

Maintenance Features:

  • Caring for TRUEtrack:
