Secure the drive wheel and free wheel to the axle using cotter pins.
Install the handle tube between the handle braces using hex bolts and nuts.
Secure the T-handle and connect the control knob/wire assembly, then latch the knob.
Attach the wire retaining clip to the shutoff plate and wire until it locks.
Install handle grips using soapy water and insert the screen into the hopper.
Check product package for rate setting and swath width, then adjust the rate cam.
Fill spreader on driveway, ensure it's off, then start moving before opening.
Hold spreader level, push at 2.5 mph, and use header strips for even coverage.
Empty spreader after each use and return leftover material to its original container.
