TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS (AERO-FLEX CUTTING HEAD)
To improve performance and maximize the life of the line blades,
operate the unit at the recommended speed when performing
particular tasks:
Trimming - Operate the unit at higher speeds.
Decorative Trimming (against fences or other hard objects) -
Operate the unit at lower speeds.
Edging - Operate the unit at lower
speeds.
To
maximize cutting efficiency and direct clippings away from
the operator, cut from left to right whenever possible.
REPLACING OLD LINE BLADES (AERO-FLEX CUTTING
HEAD)
1. Firmly press both tabs inward and pull the cutting head cap
away from the cutting head base (Fig. 6). If necessary, use a flat-
head screwdriver to lever the tabs.
2. Remove the old line blades from the cutting head base.
3. Use a clean cloth to clean the inside of the cutting head base
a
nd cutting head cap.
4. Refer to Installing the Aero-Flex® Cutting Head instructions and
perform steps 3-5 to install the new line blades. Always replace
all four line blades at the same time.

Removing the Aero-Flex Cutting Head
1. Firmly press both tabs inward and pull the cutting head cap
a
way from the cutting head base (Fig. 6). If necessary, use a flat-
head screwdriver to lever the tabs.
2. Hold the cutting head base in place. Turn the bolt clockwise with
a 1/2 inch (13 mm) wrench to remove the bolt (Fig. 3).
3. Slide the cutting head base off of the arbor (Fig. 2).

Operator’s
Manual for complete line rewinding and bump head
assembly instructions.
