Overview

This document is a user manual for the TRUE BLUE POOL CLEANER, model CTB003_PHG-20-91002. It provides detailed information on the product's features, operation, maintenance, and recycling.

Function Description

The TRUE BLUE POOL CLEANER is a high-performance, cordless robotic cleaner designed for swimming pools. Its primary function is to automatically clean the pool bottom, ensuring a clean and debris-free swimming environment. The cleaner operates on a built-in lithium-ion battery, making it easy to use without external power connections during operation. It features an efficient suction pump that does not require external pipe connections. The robot is designed for automatic operation, starting upon water detection and shutting down automatically when removed from the water or after 10 seconds of being out of water. It includes intelligent path planning and automatic steering to navigate around obstacles and pool edges. The suction power remains constant throughout the cleaning process.

Usage Features

  • Cordless Operation: Powered by an internal battery, eliminating the need for cumbersome cables during cleaning.
  • Automatic Start/Stop: The cleaner automatically begins operation when submerged in water and stops when removed from the water or after 10 seconds of being out of water.
  • Intelligent Navigation: Features automatic steering to avoid obstacles and intelligently plan cleaning paths.
  • Low-Power Mode: After two hours of inactivity, the cleaner automatically enters a low-power mode to conserve battery. It can be woken up by tilting the handle greater than 30 degrees.
  • Battery Indicator: LED indicator lights provide information on battery status (low, charging, charging complete, power available for operation) and operational lock status.
  • Charging: Requires 4-6 hours for a full charge using the provided charger. The charging port must be dry before connecting the charger.
  • Debris Basket: A 2L debris basket is included for collecting waste.
  • Filtering Options:
    • Debris Basket Only: For vacuuming larger debris, utilizing the steel mesh liner.
    • Debris Basket with Filter: For smaller dirt, sand, and silt.
    • Debris Basket with Filter + Small Particle Suction Sleeve: For very fine silt, dirt, and sand, though this may reduce the ability to gather larger debris.
  • Forced Shutdown: If the cleaner does not shut down automatically after draining water, holding it vertically for 15 seconds will initiate a forced shutdown.
  • Pool Depth: Suitable for pools up to 6 meters deep.
  • Safety: Designed with low voltage DC power supply to ensure safety and reliability, free from the risk of electric shock. The water pump impeller and walking wheel stop running upon detection of out-of-water conditions.

Maintenance Features

  • Debris Basket Cleaning: Easy to remove and empty the debris basket after use. It can be rinsed with water to flush out waste.
  • Filter Cleaning and Replacement: The filter should be cleaned regularly and replaced when excessively dirty to maintain optimal performance. For pools with a lot of leaves and debris, it's recommended to remove the filter initially and use only the debris basket with wire mesh for efficient cleaning, then reinstall the filter for finer cleaning.
  • General Cleaning: The robotic cleaner can be wiped down with mild soapy water and rinsed with clean water if it becomes dirty.
  • Water Pump Impeller Cleaning: Instructions are provided for disassembling the walking wheels and accessing the impeller for cleaning. This involves prying up clips with a straight screwdriver and removing the wheels. A video instruction is available via QR code.
  • Tyre Cover Replacement: The tyre cover can be replaced using a flathead screwdriver, ensuring the slot position is aligned.
  • Brush Strip Replacement: Front and rear brush strips can be replaced by pulling the fastener with pliers. It is crucial to cut off two protrusions in the middle of the new brush strips after installation to avoid affecting the machine's sealing.
  • Charging Port Cleaning: The rubber cap over the charging port should be opened, and the area wiped with a dry, clean cloth.
  • Air Vent Cleaning: The air vent area should be cleaned with a dry and clean cloth.
  • Storage: After use, the cleaner should be removed from water, cleaned, air-dried, and stored in a dry, cool place. For long-term storage, it's recommended to keep the battery at 50%-80% charge and recharge every two months for at least 4 hours.
  • Battery Disassembly and Recycling: Detailed steps are provided for safely removing the battery before discarding the cleaner. This involves removing 8 screws from the bottom plate, dismantling the top cover, unscrewing the power cord connector, and then removing the battery module. The battery must be disconnected from the power supply during removal and disposed of at a professional recycling facility according to local regulations.
  • Product Recycling: The robot cleaner and its electronic components must be disposed of at authorized recycling centers. The product packaging is made from recyclable materials and should be disposed of in appropriate recycling bins. Used batteries contain hazardous substances and should not be disposed of as common household waste.
