Never use the LevelCheck in areas
where explosion hazards do or might
exist, such as filling stations.
To avoid injury hazards, never expose
the batteries to temperatures in excess
of 212°F (100°C).
Do not expose the LevelCheck to tem-
peratures in excess of 176°F (80°C). The
battery may rupture or explode if dis-
posed of in fire or exposed to excessive
heat, for example if it is left out in the sun.
The battery may leak harmful chemicals
that may damage skin, clothing, or the
inside of the LevelCheck.
Avoid eye and skin contact with any
material that is leaked from the battery.
Reduce injury hazards or potential
damage to your LevelCheck:
Use only name brand alkaline batteries
Never use rechargeable or reusable
batteries
Never allow children to install batter-
ies unsupervised
Follow the battery manufacturer’s
instructions for the proper handling,
storage, and disposal of batteries
Avoid eye injuries:
Never look directly into the light
source (LED)
Never shine the light from the
LevelCheck into anybodys eyes
The LevelCheck has not been designed for
use by people (including children) who have
restricted physical, sensory, or mental abili-
ties or a lack of experience and/or knowl-
edge, unless they are supervised by a person
responsible for their safety or have received
instructions from that person on how to
properly handle and use the LevelCheck.
The LevelCheck is not a toy. Children
must be supervised accordingly.
Protect the LevelCheck from moisture,
and especially rain, to avoid malfunction
or damage.
Do not cut or remove the ultrasound
head (Fig. 1-1).
Do not allow the LevelCheck to come
into contact with sunscreen.
