Start Up
• Push the choke button (G) three times to start the lawn
mower.
• Press the switch bar (H) against the handle.
• Quickly pull the starter jack-line (I). The lawn mower
motor should start. During cold
weather repeating the procedure might be necessary.
• Do not release the starter rod. Secure it again in the ring.
• To switch off the lawn mower, just release the switch
bar. The blade will keep on rotating
some seconds after switching off the lawn mower.
• The motor has factory-built-in
protective material. When starting the motor for the first
time could generate a small amount of smoke. This is a
normal condition. It does not need any adjustment.
Starting On and Off
• The lawn mower is shipped adjusted into the low cutting
height position. Before using for the first time, adjust the
cutting height to the most suitable for your lawn.
• On average, grass measures from 1 ½” up to 2” in the
cold months and 2” up to 3 ½” during warm moths. If
there is growth, grass should be mowed during fall.
• To increase the blade height, move the adjusting lever
towards the rear of the mower.
• To lower the blade height, move the adjusting lever
towards the front of the lawn mower.
Cutting-Height Adjustment
• Let the switch bar go and wait for the blade to stop.
• Lift the rear floodgate and the grass trimmings bag
through the handle to remove it from the lawn mower.
• Get rid of the grass trimmings.
• Lift the rear floodgate and set back the collecting bag as
described in page 7.
• When finishing mowing empty the collecting bag. Do
not store it full of grass to prevent from getting moldy or
from fire.
• The material in the collecting bag is porous. It could get
clogged with residue or dirt. This situation makes
collecting grass difficult. To prevent this situation regularly
wash the bag with a garden hose. Let it dry before
assembling back.
