This document is a user manual for the TRUSTECH Air Cooler, model WTF-40. It provides instructions for assembly, operation, maintenance, and includes important safety precautions, contact information, and warranty details.
Function Description
The TRUSTECH WTF-40 is an air cooler designed to provide a cooling effect by using water and, optionally, iceboxes. It functions as a fan with additional cooling capabilities, circulating air that has passed through a water-soaked pad. The device features multiple fan speeds and wind modes to suit different preferences.
Important Technical Specifications
While specific numerical technical specifications like power consumption or airflow volume are not explicitly listed, the manual highlights several functional specifications:
- Water Tank Capacity: The water tank has "Min" and "Max" levels, indicating a specific operating range for water volume.
- Timer Function: The device includes a timer that can be set from 0 to 8 hours.
- Fan Speeds: It offers three fan speeds: Low, Middle, and High.
- Wind Modes: The air cooler supports three wind modes: Normal wind, Natural wind, and Sleep wind.
- Cooling Enhancement: The device can utilize freezing ice crystal boxes in the water tank to enhance the cooling effect.
- Socket Current: The rating current of the socket should exceed 10A.
Usage Features
The air cooler is designed for user-friendly operation with both a control panel on the unit and a remote control.
Assembly:
- Base Assembly: The base is assembled by inserting its snap into a square hole.
- Fuselage Attachment: The fuselage is then secured to the assembled base using four self-tapping screws, aligning with the screw posts. Two additional fixing screws on the base are also locked.
Filling the Water Tank:
- The water tank is pulled out for filling.
- It should be filled with cold, clean water, ensuring the level is between "Min" and "Max" marks.
- For enhanced cooling, pre-frozen iceboxes (filled with water) can be inserted into the tank.
- The water tank is then closed.
Operation:
- Power On/Off: The unit is turned on by pressing the power button. Pressing it again puts the product in standby mode.
- Speed Selection: The "Speed" key allows selection of Low, Middle, or High fan speeds.
- Mode Selection: The "Mode" key cycles through Normal, Natural, and Sleep wind modes. Normal wind is the default setting.
- Swing Function: The "Swing" key activates oscillation, indicated by a light. Pressing it again turns off the oscillation.
- Timer Setting: The "Timer" key sets the operating time from 0 to 8 hours.
- Cooling Function: The "Cooling" key activates the enhanced cooling function when ice crystal boxes are used. Pressing it again cancels the function.
Safety Precautions during Use:
- Always ensure power is cut off before filling or refilling water.
- Only use water in the tank; no chemicals, oils, or other additives.
- Use only cold water.
- Maintain water level between "Min" and "Max."
- Do not tilt or knock over the appliance after adding water. If moving, do so flatly to prevent spills.
- If the appliance topples and water enters the body, unplug it and send it for repair.
- Do not place objects on the appliance or cover the air vent.
- Do not make air outlets and inlets near walls or curtains.
- Avoid knocking or shaking the body during use.
- Renew water frequently, especially in summer, as it can easily metamorphose.
- Do not operate with wet hands.
- Do not use near explosive or combustible gas.
- Use only on a flat surface and indoors.
- The appliance should not be located immediately below a socket outlet.
- Do not use in the immediate surroundings of a bath, shower, or swimming pool.
- Children and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities should be supervised.
- Do not use with a programmer, timer, or any other external device.
Maintenance Features
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and efficient operation of the air cooler.
Cleaning and Draining the Water Tank:
- Frequency: Clean at least once a week.
- Procedure:
- Switch off and unplug the unit.
- Unscrew the water pump knob.
- Pull out the water tank.
- Clean the water tank.
- Put the water tank back and screw the water pump knob to the pump.
- Drain the water completely and refill with fresh water.
- Water Pad: Remove the water pad and rinse it under fresh water to remove dust and dirt. Avoid rubbing the mesh with hands to prevent deformation.
- Exterior: Clean the appearance with a lightly damp cloth. Do not use detergents, solutions, or rinse with water.
End of Season Storage:
- Drying: Run the fan mode for about 30 minutes (depending on ambient humidity) to ensure all parts are dry before storing.
- Power Off: Switch off and unplug the air cooler.
- Drainage: Empty all water from the tank and clean it.
- Water Pad: Clean the water pad and put it back into the fuselage.
- Protection: Cover the unit with a clean cloth or plastic bag to protect it from dust and scratches.
- Power Cord: Coil the power cord and store it away from the floor.
- Storage Location: Store the unit in a dry place out of direct sunlight.
General Maintenance Advice:
- Do not repair or remake the appliance yourself; it should be repaired by qualified repairmen.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cord or assembled from the manufacturer or its service agents.
- Regular cleaning reduces mineral deposits and extends the life of the water pad.
