Set Mid range (other modes) slew rate
Set: Mode = 80V. The Slew Rate display should show about 25.57 V/ms.
Scope: Set delayed timebase to 500µs/cm.
Adjust: VR2 for 5.1 cm (= 2.56ms)
Set Lo range (other modes) slew rate
Set: Freq Range = Lo, Slew Range = Lo, The Slew Rate display should show about 819 V/s.
Scope: Set to main timebase only, at 20ms/cm.
Use normal (not auto) trigger mode and adjust trigger point so that as much as possible
of the ramp is visible on screen.
Use horizontal position to set a convenient crossing point on 10% graticule.
Adjust: VR3 for 4.0 cm (= 80ms)
Set Lo range (current mode) slew rate
Set: Mode = 80A; Freq = Max. The Slew Rate display should show about 2.557 A/ms.
Scope: Set timebase to 5ms/cm.
Adjust: VR6 for 5.1 cm (= 25·6ms)
Sense Amplifier Adjustments
Select:
Enable = out. Slow Start = out. Meters = Volts & Amps. Control = Level B.
Dropout = 0V(fully CCW).
Slew Rate = physical mid position.
Current Sense amplifier offset
Connect: Short the rear panel Load Input terminals together. Connect the DVM to IFB (TP2-b) and
0v (TP2-d).
Adjust: VR12 for zero (< ±5µV) on DVM (IFB).
Check: Amps (RH) meter reads 0.00
External Voltage Sense amplifier offset
Connect: Connect the DVM to VS (TP2-c) and 0v (TP2-d).
Select: Sense slide switch (on rear panel) = external.
Adjust: VR33 for zero (< ±5µV) on DVM (VS).
Check: Volts (LH) meter reads 0.00
Internal Voltage Sense amplifier offset
Select: Sense slide switch = internal.
Adjust: VR21 for zero (< ±5µV) on DVM (VS).
Function Multiplier input offset
Select: Mode = 40 A/V.
Connect: Connect DVM to PROD (TP3-a) and 0V (TP3-d).
Preset: Set VR23 fully counter-clockwise. Adjust VR35 until the DVM reads about 0; note the
exact reading.
Adjust:
VR23 slowly clockwise until the voltage at PROD starts to rise, then back until it is
above the initial value by 3 – 8 µV. Note that this adjustment is intended to find a cut-off
point: when VR23 is clockwise of that point, the voltage at PROD will rise, when it is
counter-clockwise of that point it has no effect; it is important not to set it in this region.
