Overview

This document is a user manual for the TURBRO Greenland GL150P Dehumidifier. It provides detailed information on the device's function, specifications, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Function Description

The TURBRO Greenland GL150P is a dehumidifier designed for indoor use. Its primary function is to remove excess moisture from the air, helping to prevent issues like mold, mildew, and musty odors. The unit uses R32 (propane) gas as a refrigerant, which is flammable and heavier than air, necessitating specific safety precautions. It features an internal pump for automatic water drainage, allowing for continuous operation without manual emptying of a water tank. The dehumidifier is equipped with a control panel for setting desired humidity levels, continuous operation, and timer functions. It also includes a self-diagnosis system to identify malfunctions and a defrost mode for low environmental temperatures.

  • Noise Level: <52dB(A)
  • Work Temperature: 41-95°F
  • Drainage Pump Vertical Lift: Up to 16.4ft (5m)
  • Room Area for Operation: The appliance shall be stored in a room without continuous operation sources (e.g., open flames, operating gas appliance, or operating electric heater). The unit is suitable for rooms that exceed 43 sq ft (4 m²).

Usage Features

  • Installation: The handle needs to be installed using the included screws, aligning the holes on the handle with those on the dehumidifier.
  • Placement: The dehumidifier should be placed in a horizontal position on a flat surface, at least 20 inches (50 cm) away from walls, furniture, furnaces, and other household appliances to ensure proper air circulation.
  • Control Panel:
    • Power Button: Turns the unit on/off. When turned on, it defaults to continuous mode. It has a memory function to restore previous settings after a power loss.
    • Humidity Setting Buttons (Up/Down Arrows): Allows users to choose a desired humidity level between 20%-90% in 5% increments. The default is 50% RH. Holding the button for 2 seconds changes the humidity rapidly. The compressor and fan stop when ambient humidity reaches the set level and resume when it rises above.
    • Timer Button: Sets delayed start-up or shut-down times from 0-24 hours. The "TIMER" light illuminates when set. Cannot set both delayed start-up and shut-down timers simultaneously.
    • Continuous Mode Button: Sets the unit to run continuously regardless of ambient humidity. The "CONTINUOUS" light will be on. Pressing it again switches back to normal mode.
    • Manual Drain Button: Long press for 5 seconds to manually activate the water pump for 35 seconds, regardless of whether the pump is full.
  • Drainage: The GL150P features an internal pump for automatic drainage. The included drainage hose should be attached to the drainage port and directed to a sink, drain, bucket, or outdoors. The pump can drain water vertically up to 16.4ft (5m). There is no limit to the distance if drained downwards.
  • Display: The screen displays current humidity. It can also show the current temperature by long-pressing the Timer and Power buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds (returns to humidity display after 10 seconds).
  • Indicator Lights:
    • FULL: Illuminates when the water pump is full and during automatic drainage.
    • CONTINUOUS: Illuminates when the unit is in continuous mode.
    • DEFROST: Illuminates when the unit enters defrost mode due to low environmental temperature. The unit will not operate properly until defrosting is complete.
    • TIMER: Illuminates when a timer is set.
  • Self-Diagnosis System: Displays error messages (E1, E2 for temperature sensor failure; FL for full water pump) on the screen to indicate malfunctions.

Maintenance Features

  • Cleaning:
    • The machine can be cleaned with a soft wet cloth as needed.
    • The filter should be cleaned regularly. To do this, open the front panel and pull out the filter.
    • Surface dust on the filter can be cleaned with a cloth. For extremely dirty filters, use tap water to flush them.
    • Ensure the filter is fully dry before placing it back into the dehumidifier. Keeping the filter clean improves the machine's efficiency.
  • Storage (for long periods of disuse):
    • Clean the filter.
    • The evaporator inside the machine must be dried out to prevent component damage and mold. Unplug the unit and place it in a dry open area for a few days to dry.
    • Store the power cord on the power cord hooks at the back of the unit.
    • Store the unit in a clean, dry environment, covered with a dust protector as needed.

Safety Instructions

  • Children and Supervision: Not a toy. Can be used by children aged 8+ and persons with reduced capabilities if supervised and instructed. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be done by children without supervision.
  • Indoor Use Only: Not designed for outdoor use.
  • Refrigerant (R32 Propane): Flammable and heavier than air. Do not discharge into the atmosphere. Untrained personnel should not attempt to find leaks. Propane gas has no odor, so lack of smell does not indicate absence of a leak.
  • Leak Detection: If a leak is detected, evacuate all persons, ventilate the room, and contact the local fire department. Do not re-enter until a qualified service technician advises it is safe.
  • Ignition Sources: Keep away from open flames, cigarettes, or other ignition sources, as well as inflammable or explosive objects.
  • Storage Environment: Store in a room without continuous operation sources (e.g., open flames, operating gas appliances, operating electric heaters).
  • Repair Parts: Component parts should only be replaced with identical repair parts.
  • Power Cord: Do not unplug by pulling on the power cord. Do not operate with wet hands.
  • Placement: Do not immerse or expose the unit to rain, moisture, or any other liquid. Do not tilt or turn over the unit.
  • Extension Cords/Adapters: Do not use.
  • Obstruction: Do not put objects on top of the unit or insert fingers/objects into air outlets.
  • Damage: Do not operate if damaged or showing signs of product malfunction.
  • Cleaning: Do not clean with any chemicals.
  • Regulations: Compliance with national gas regulations must be observed.
  • Ventilation: Keep any required ventilation openings clear of obstruction.
  • Room Size: The appliance must be stored in a well-ventilated area where the room size corresponds to the room area as specified for operation (exceeds 43 sq ft (4 m²)).
  • Flammable Refrigerant: This unit uses a flammable refrigerant. If refrigerant leaks and comes into contact with fire or heating elements, it will create harmful gas and is a fire risk. Read the owner's manual, installation manual, and service manual carefully before using, installing, or repairing. Service personnel must carefully read the user and service manuals before operation.
