1.Turn off the power supply before carrying out any
electrical installation work.

Q1: What should I do if I can’t configure the dimmer module?
a. Please check whether device is powered on.
b. Make sure zigbee hub available or
2.4 Ghz WIFI connected
c. Whether it’s in good internet conditions.
d. Make sure the password entered in App is correct.

Q2: What device can be connected to this dimmer module?
Q3: What happens if the WIFI goes off?
You can still control the device connected the dimmer
module with your traditional switch and once WIFI is
active again the device connected to module will
connect automatically to your WIFI network.
Q4: What should I do if I change the WIFI network or
change the password?
You have to re-connect our dimmer module to the
new Wi-Fi network accordingly as per the App User Manual.

MANUAL OVERRIDE
The switch Dimmer terminal reserves the access of
manual override function for the end-user to switch
on/off,or adjust the light level by push-switch.
• Short Push (<1s): permanent on/off function.
• Long Push (>1s): adjust the brightness level.
Notes:
1) Both the adjustment on App and push switch can overwrite each
other, the last adjustment remains in memory.
2) App control is synchronized with the manual switch. 3) The “S ” termin
als may be left unconnected if no manual control is required.

The module allows users to control lighting remotely via a smartphone app, voice commands, or traditional wall switches, offering enhanced convenience and energy efficiency.

Function Description

The smart dimmer module serves as a central control unit for various lighting types, including Triac LED lights, incandescent lamps, and halogen lamps. It enables users to turn lights on/off and adjust brightness levels. The module supports both Wi-Fi and Zigbee protocols, offering flexibility in smart home integration. The Wi-Fi version connects directly to your home Wi-Fi network, while the Zigbee version requires a Zigbee gateway for communication.

Key functionalities include:

• Remote Control: Users can control connected lights from anywhere using the Tuya or Smart Life smartphone application. This includes turning lights on/off and adjusting brightness.
• Voice Control: The module is compatible with popular voice assistants like Google Home and Amazon Alexa, allowing for hands-free control of lighting.
• Manual Override: A traditional wall switch connected to the dimmer module provides a manual override function. A short push (<1s) toggles the light on/off, while a long push (>1s) adjusts the brightness level. This ensures continued control even if the smart home system is unavailable.

Usage Features

The smart dimmer module is designed for user-friendly operation, offering multiple ways to interact with your lighting system:

• App-Based Control:
  • Download and Registration: Begin by downloading the "Tuya" or "Smart Life" app from your smartphone's app store. Register for an account or log in if you already have one.
  • Adding Devices (Wi-Fi Version):
    1. Ensure the dimmer module is powered on and in pairing mode (indicator light flashing).
    2. In the app, tap "Add Device" or the "+" icon.
    3. Select "Switch Module" from the device list.
    4. Confirm the indicator light is flashing.
    5. Select your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password. (Note: 5GHz networks are not supported for direct connection).
    6. The app will then search for and add the device.
  • Adding Devices (Zigbee Version):
    1. Before adding the dimmer module, ensure a Zigbee gateway is already added and configured in your Tuya/Smart Life app.
    2. Ensure the dimmer module is powered on and in pairing mode.
    3. In the app, navigate to your Zigbee gateway and select "Add subdevice."
    4. Confirm the indicator light on the dimmer module is blinking.
    5. The app will search for and add the Zigbee dimmer module as a subdevice to your gateway.
  • Controlling Lights: Once added, the app interface will allow you to turn lights on/off, adjust brightness levels using a slider, and set schedules or timers.
• Voice Control:
  • Integrate the Tuya/Smart Life app with your Google Home or Amazon Alexa account.
  • Use voice commands such as "Hey Google, turn on the living room light" or "Alexa, dim the bedroom light to 50%."
• Manual Control (Traditional Switch):
  • On/Off: A quick press (less than 1 second) of the connected traditional wall switch will toggle the light on or off.
  • Dimming: A long press (more than 1 second) of the traditional wall switch will adjust the brightness level. The brightness will cycle up or down as you hold the switch. Releasing and pressing again will reverse the dimming direction.
  • The manual switch provides a reliable backup, ensuring you can always control your lights regardless of network connectivity or app availability.
• Network Changes: If your Wi-Fi network name or password changes, you will need to re-connect the dimmer module to the new network by following the app's user manual for device re-connection. For Zigbee devices, if the gateway remains connected, the dimmer module should continue to function.
• Offline Functionality: If the Wi-Fi connection is lost, you can still control the lights using the traditional wall switch. Once Wi-Fi is restored, the module will automatically reconnect to your network.

Maintenance Features

The smart dimmer module is designed for low maintenance, but certain actions may be required for troubleshooting or re-configuration:

• Resetting the Device: If you encounter issues with configuration or need to re-pair the device, a reset can be performed:
  1. Turn off the traditional button switch connected to the dimmer module.
  2. Press and hold the switch for approximately 10 seconds or more until the indicator light on the module starts to flash. This indicates the device has entered pairing mode.
• Wiring Verification: In case of non-responsiveness or configuration issues, always verify that the wiring is correct according to the provided wiring diagrams. Ensure the power supply is turned off before performing any electrical work.
• Network Conditions: For optimal performance and successful configuration, ensure your Wi-Fi network is stable and has good internet conditions. When configuring the Wi-Fi version, keep your smartphone close to the switch module and confirm a strong Wi-Fi signal (at least 50%).
• Password Accuracy: When entering your Wi-Fi password in the app, double-check for accuracy to avoid connection failures.
• Compatibility: The module is compatible with Triac LED lights, incandescent lamps, and halogen lamps. Ensure your lighting fixtures are compatible for proper dimming functionality.
• Unconnected "S" Terminals: The "S" terminals (for connecting the traditional switch) may be left unconnected if manual control via a physical switch is not desired, relying solely on app and voice control.
• Firmware Updates: Periodically check the Tuya/Smart Life app for any available firmware updates for the dimmer module. Updates can improve performance, add new features, or address security vulnerabilities.
• Environmental Conditions: Ensure the module is installed within its specified operating temperature range (-10°C to +40°C) to prevent malfunction.
