How to fix a TXR 325M Portable Generator when the X-Ray Control will not energize?
    • J
      Jacqueline TorresAug 26, 2025
If the X-Ray Control of your TXR Portable Generator will not energize, it could be due to a lack of power. Check the power feeding the X-ray unit, including the main panel. It requires 240VAC Nominal, within a range of 200-278 VAC. Alternatively, the circuit breaker might be defective. With the circuit breaker in the on position, check the voltage across the major to minor line strap. It should read between 200-278 VAC.

What to do if the TXR Portable Generator control energizes, but the LEDs are not lit?
    • E
      elizabethshannonAug 29, 2025
If the control energizes but the LEDs are not lit on your TXR Portable Generator, the cause may be an open fuse or a loose fuse holder at A1 or A2. To resolve this, with the Line to Auto Strapped properly and with the Circuit Breaker on, check the voltage from A1 to A2. It should be between 120-122 VAC.

Why is there no MA meter reading on my TXR Portable Generator?
    • L
      lynchkeithSep 2, 2025
If there is no MA meter reading on your TXR Portable Generator, it could be due to an open fuse or loose fuse holder at F6. With Line to Auto Strapped properly and with the Circuit Breaker on, check the voltage from A1 to F6. It should be 8 VAC. Another potential cause is a defective MA meter. In this case, replace the MA meter, ribbon cable connector, or MA selector.

What to do if the TXR 325M rotor runs, the ready lamp lights, but no X-rays are emitted?
    • L
      laura25Nov 6, 2025
If the TXR Portable Generator's ready lamp illuminates, the backup contactor contacts close, and the exposure lamp lights during exposure, but no X-rays are emitted and there's no MA, it could be due to several reasons. First, P1 and P2 might not be energized because the SCRs did not turn ON, so you must confirm that the SCR’s are operating properly by running a SIMULATED LOAD TEST. Alternatively, the X-ray tube filament may not be lit due to an open lead in the cathode high voltage cable, preventing solid contact, or the X-ray tube filament itself may be open. In this case perform a VISUAL INSPECTION: Remove Collimator. Select large and then small X-ray filaments. See if each filament lights up during PREP. If both filaments light up properly, the problem is in another area. SELECT ALTERN...

Why won't my TXR 325M expose when the ready lamp is lit?
    • M
      Michelle EwingNov 11, 2025
If the TXR Portable Generator's ready lamp lights but there is no exposure, and the backup contactor will not close, it could be due to shorted SCRs. To check this, with the control energized, test the voltage from # J1-8 to # J1-10 on the bottom left end of the Mother Board. No voltage should be present. If there is voltage present and you can vary it by adjusting the Major and Minor Selectors, the SCR’s are shorted and must be replaced. Other potential causes include a defective timer selector or loose ribbon cables. Ensure all ribbon cable is docked properly at the Timer and the Selectors. Repair or replace. Finally, the issue might stem from the system without buckys. Test: 1-5 Set Timer to three seconds 1. Switch Bucky OFF. If an exposure is now possible, place a permanent jumper from...

How to troubleshoot a TXR 325M Portable Generator when the rotating anode doesn’t start?
    • A
      Anna NguyenNov 15, 2025
If the rotating anode of your TXR Portable Generator doesn’t start, there are several potential causes: * **Open fuse or loose holder:** Check F1 or F2 on the Mother Board. Test Voltage A1 to A2 with unit ON. Should be 120-122 VAC. * **Fuse issues on Rotor Board:** Replace fuse or tighten fuse holders on Rotor Board. * **Defective Prep Switch:** Test Voltage #3 to A1 PREP. 120-122 VAC. * **Open Interlock Safety Switch Circuit:** Test Voltage #4 to A1 PREP. 120-122 VAC. * **Rotor Cable problems:** Check continuity of wires from Control Terminals O7 - O8 and O9 to Tube Stator. If any of these wires, terminals, or butt splices are OPEN CIRCUIT or loose, the Anode will NOT ROTATE. Check Harness from the Tube Rotor to the Rotor Control Board located in the Control. * **Tube Stator ...

What causes an unstable kVp meter reading on a TXR 325M Portable Generator?
    • A
      adennisNov 20, 2025
If the kVp meter reading on your TXR Portable Generator is unstable, with numbers continuously counting down to zero, the issue may stem from several causes. First, check for an open fuse or loose fuse holder at F4 or F5. With Line to Auto Strapped properly and with the Circuit Breaker on, check voltage from A1 to F5 = 24 VAC. For Fuse 4 check voltage MT-1 to MT-2 = 100 VAC. The major or minor selector could be defective. Be sure that the kilovolt selectors are not stuck between contacts, but are properly indexed on a contact point. Make sure ALL contact points on both switches are good. It could also be related to the kVp meter compensation circuit, meaning that there may be an OPEN in the kVp Compensation Resistor, Compensation Transformer, or K1 – K7 Relays are NOT ENERGIZING. Finally, ...
