Overview

The Uline H-6526 Spin Mop System is a cleaning device designed for efficient floor cleaning, featuring a bucket with a spinning mechanism and a microfiber mop head. It is designed for ease of assembly, operation, and maintenance.

Function Description

The spin mop system is primarily used for wetting, cleaning, ringing out, and mopping floors. The system includes a bucket with a foot pedal-operated spinning mechanism, a telescopic mop handle, a mop head attachment, and two microfiber mop heads. The foot pedal allows for hands-free wetting and drying of the mop head, making the cleaning process more hygienic and less strenuous. The spinning action effectively removes excess water and dirt from the mop head, ensuring optimal dampness for cleaning various floor types.

Important Technical Specifications

The system comprises several key components:

  • Bucket: One bucket is included, featuring a fill line for a minimum of two gallons of water and a drain on the side for easy emptying. It also has a holder for storing the collapsed mop handle.
  • Mop Handle: One telescopic mop handle is provided, which can be extended and locked into "on" and "off" positions by twisting the center section.
  • Threaded Collar: One threaded collar is used to secure the mop handle to the mop head attachment.
  • Mop Head Attachment: One mop head attachment serves as the connection point between the handle and the microfiber mop head.
  • Microfiber Mop Heads: Two microfiber mop heads are included, designed for effective cleaning and absorbency.

Usage Features

Assembly:

  1. Extend Mop Handle: The mop handle is fully extended by turning its center section to the "on" position. Once extended, it is locked by turning the center section to the "off" position.
  2. Attach Threaded Collar: The threaded collar is initially removed from the mop head attachment, then placed back on, and loosely attached by turning it clockwise two turns. It is crucial not to completely tighten the threaded collar at this stage.
  3. Connect Mop Handle to Attachment: The mop handle is placed into the mop head attachment, and the threaded collar is tightened until snug. A note advises against overtightening.
  4. Pivot Mop Handle: The user places a foot on the mop head attachment and pivots the mop handle into an upright position.

Operation:

  1. Attach Microfiber Mop Head: A microfiber mop head is placed on the ground with its black ring facing up. The mop head attachment is centered over it, and the user presses down to secure it. Further security is achieved by pressing down with a foot on both sides of the mop head attachment.
  2. Fill Bucket: The bucket should be filled with a minimum of two gallons of water, and the desired cleaning solution can be added.
  3. Prepare Mop: Before wetting, the mop handle must be in a vertical/locked position and in the "off" position.
  4. Wet Mop Head: The mop is placed over the wetting gear in the bucket until it locks in place. The foot pedal is then pumped with a foot until the mop is saturated. This process is repeated to clean the mop head.
  5. Ring Out Mop Head (Foot Pedal Method): The mop head is placed in the stainless steel basket, and the foot pedal is pumped until the desired dryness is achieved.
  6. Ring Out Mop Head (Optional Spinning Method): For an alternative ringing method, the mop head is placed in the stainless steel basket, the mop handle is turned to the "on" position, and the handle is pumped down to spin the mop head until the desired dryness is reached.
  7. Mopping: To prepare for mopping, the microfiber mop head is placed flat on the floor. The user steps on either side of the mop head attachment with a foot and pushes the mop handle left or right to release the lock position. The mop is then ready for use.

Storage:

After use, the mop is rung out, and the bucket is emptied using its side drain. The mop handle is collapsed and locked, and the mop is placed in the designated holder inside the bucket.

Maintenance Features

Removal and Caring of Microfiber Mop Head:

  1. Remove Mop Head: The microfiber mop head can be removed by pulling it off with hands. Alternatively, while the mop is in the vertical locked position, the user can step on the microfiber part of the mop head (not the stainless steel mop head attachment) that is perpendicular to the hinge movement, and push the handle away from the body.
  2. Wash Mop Head: The microfiber mop head can be washed by hand with water and soap or placed in a washing machine with detergent.
  3. Drying: It is important to always allow the microfiber mop head to air dry. It should not be placed in a dryer.

The Uline H-6526 Spin Mop System is designed for user convenience, offering a robust solution for maintaining clean floors with minimal effort and effective cleaning results.
